Interactive genetic algorithm(IGA)is a human-computer integration intelligent technology combining human wisdom with genetic algorithm together to solve problems in which their performance indices are implicit or difficult to be expressed by explicit functions.Interactive evolutionary product form design(IEPFD)is a kind of design decision-making process that applies with IGA technology to optimize implicit performance indices in the shape and color design for products.It has been widely used in different product design scenarios.Because the limitations and fatigue of user cognition affect the individual's fitness assignment directly,the comprehensive performance of evolutionary computing can be influenced.Although a large number of literatures have studied the methods to improve the performance of IGA,few studies have been carried out from the perspective of improving user cognition.In view of this,it has been studied cognitive intervention theory and methods of interactive evolutionary design to improve the comprehensive performance of human-computer integration.The theoretical research results of this study are showed in the following two aspects.Firstly,combined with the Sense Making Theory,it is proposed the cognitive model of interactive evolutionary design and the formation mechanism of poor cognition,besides,combined with the Default-Interventionist model,it is proposed the premises of cognitive intervention and control factors of cognitive intervention in IEPFD.Secondly,the cognitive intervention strategies of IEPFD guided by context information are proposed by establishing the product form design context of “problem domain-feature domain” and defining the context information connotation of IEPFD.The application research results of this study are showed in the following three aspects.Firstly,for solving the ambiguity of design cognition in IEPFD,the cognitve intervention method of heterogeneous information aggregation is proposed,including the "text-situation-symbol" mapping method for the cognitive ambiguity of decision front-end,and the Hausdorff individual clustering method for the cognitive ambiguity of decision process.Secondly,for the relevance cognition in IEPFD,the cognitive intervention method driven by correlation information is proposed,that is,the individual clustering method of "explicit-implicit" fusion which integrates the "perceptual evaluation-specific features" association model.Thirdly,for solving the fatigability of fitness assignment cognition,the cognitive intervention method based on bipolar information comparison is proposed,including the ranking method of alternation choosing bipolar individuals,the fuzzy fitness calculation method based on individual ranking,and the individual comparison method based on fuzzy fitness.Through comparative experiments between benchmark and improved,the above cognitive intervention methods can reduce the initial population evaluation time,total time and other indices,improve comprehensive performance of human-computer integration.This study has developed systematic theoretical and methodological research of the cognitive intervention of IEFFD,which provided reference for the application of human-computer fusion intelligence technology in product form design.
