In the construction of human living environment, the ancient Chinese attached significance to the balance between human's physical and mental state and human settlement environment. That is,the combination of the "yin-yang balance" of human body in the interaction between the residents and the living environment under the condition of "human being and heaven and earth are connected" and the concept of "yin-yang balance" of human body in traditional Chinese medicine reflect the ultimate pursuit of internal human health preservation in the construction of external human settlement environment. This is particularly prominent in the residential environment inhabited by the intellectual class. For historical reasons, after people from the Central Plains moved to Zhaoqing area of Lingnan, which is known as "miasma",they built a large number of settlements bonded by blood ties.According to the characteristics of Lingnan environment, people gained the wisdom to adapt to the regional environment. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, some families became distinguished socially and educationally, and their settlement environment was also maturing. This dissertation chooses the Zhaoqing immigrant community in the mature period of Ming and Qing Dynasty as the research object, from the perspective of health, using the methods of literature study, field investigation and oral history interview, trying to sort out the prototype of human living environment, and then combining the thought of "three factors health preservation" in traditional Chinese medicine to analyze the health preservation features contained in it.The main contents include the following aspects :1)Environmental Cognition in the Early Stage of the Formation of Zhaoqing Settlement, the Construction of Human Settlements in the Mature Period of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Embodiment of Health Preservation ThoughtThrough the collection and study of genealogy, village history, local chronicles and other relevant materials, the paper determines and combs the initial cognition of and influence on Zhaoqing's environment from Zhaoqing's 32 influential immigrants in their early stages of arrival;secondly, combining with genealogy,it combs the prototype of residential environment in the mature period of Ming and Qing Dynasties, mainly including site selection, residence, clan culture, family education, production and life, longevity, and factors affecting health and longevity so as to understand the appropriateness in the construction of living environment in Zhaoqing's "disease prevention" thought;then through systematic study of ancient medical books, health preservation and other ancient books to sort out the dialectical relationship between "cause" and "treatment" in the thought of "three causes of disease" in traditional Chinese medicine, the dissertation summarizes the thought of "three factors in health preservation";finally, external, internal, and non-internal-and-external factors being considered, the dissertation tries to establish the corresponding relationship between settlement environment and regional health preservation.2)Analysis on the Regional Health Preservation Characteristics of Zhaoqing Clan Settlement Environment in the Mature Period of Ming and Qing DynastiesThrough the field investigation and interview to confirm the historical data and after sorting out 32 clan residential environment prototypes of Zhaoqing settlements in Ming and Qing Dynasties, the paper initially restored the plane layout. Then from the perspective of "three reasons for health" of traditional Chinese medicine, this paper analyzes the settlement environment of Zhaoqing clans in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It mainly includes the physical environment(external factors)such as the landscape pattern and spatial layout of the settlement, the spiritual environment(internal factors)such as clan society, folk belief, farming and reading culture;and the wisdom(internal factors)such as the living style of "medicine and food are the same source"(no internal and external factors, this paper mainly discusses the application of clans to vegetation based on the background of landscape architecture).3)Typical Case StudyThis paper chooses Jiaoyuan village,a famous and long-lived settlement in the heyday of Ming and Qing Dynasty as a typical case, based on the first-hand data of genealogy of Liang clan in Jiaoyuan village, combined with fieldwork and interview of elders' oral history, with reference to relevant historical records,to restore the residential environment of Jiaoyuan village in the heyday of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and then make an empirical analysis into the characteristics of residential environment and health wisdom embedded. The results show that, from survey to layout, and to living, the structure of Zhaoqing immigrants' clan settlements in mature period of Ming and Qing Dynasties, embodies the balance between man and environment through three aspects of "active adaptation" to"external cause" environment,"active adjustment" to "non-internal-external cause"environment and "comprehensive cultivation" of "internal cause" environment, highlighting the "prevention" idea in health preservation in TCM(That is,the central idea of "treating the disease before it is cured").Specifically,"active adaptation",mainly through the construction of settlement location, layout and natural elements, highlights the geographical environment of "being in a high and comfortable position","ventilation of air" and "shade" to conform to Zhaoqing's "humid, wet and scorching" weather "and" low earth and thin earth ".Meanwhile,it also integrates the understanding of" heaven "from the aspect of ideology, providing conditions for human physiological health;"active conditioning" mainly discusses the application of natural resources(this paper mainly discusses the natural vegetation),the vegetation planted or naturally grown by ethnic groups in the settlement environment. On the one hand,it pays attention to its practical value. In addition to the function of "protecting the countryside",it is also used in daily diet and life to build an integrated "food and treatment"vegetation community, reflecting the genuine medicinal side.On the other hand, through the natural vegetation or the environment it creates,it expresses the moral and aesthetic intention, embodies one side of the "natural landscape",and creates a unique vegetation landscape that integrates "food, treatment and scenery" in the settlement environment;the "comprehensive cultivation" mainly focuses on the guidance of "he(harmony)" and "shi(gentry)" in the social environment construction of the settlement, and creates the spiritual environment space of harmony and humanistic morale through the clan etiquette education, family education, which has created conditions for the realization of "nourishing nature and prolonging life".From the perspective of health, this paper combs and recovers the settlement environment of Zhaoqing immigrants in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and makes an in-depth study and analysis into the construction of residential environment in the mature period of Ming and Qing Dynasties in combination with the health preserving thought of "three factors" of traditional Chinese medicine. On the one hand,it enriches the content of the theory of "community" residential environment of the intellectual class in the history of landscape architecture, and reveals that the ancient Chinese scholar families pay more attention to the integration of traditional culture and regional environment, which shows the wisdom of regional health preservation;on the other hand,it has a positive role in improving the modern regional human settlements landscape system beneficial to human health.
