Research On The Historical Experience Of Building Human Settlements In Xiangtan County During The Ming And Qing Dynasties

Chinese cities have a long history.In the long Habitation practice,they have created splendid urban civilization and accumulated and formed a large number of original planning experiences.These outstanding Chinese planning experiences need to be solved through basic excavation,scientific analysis,and theoretical explanation.Creative transformation,and then effectively guide the current urban planning and construction,to provide new ideas and methods for solving current urban problems.Relying on the prosperity of the water transport along the Xiangjiang River and the natural geographical advantages of being located in the coastal natural harbors,the economy developed rapidly during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,and it was known as “the best in the world”.This article chooses Xiangtan as the research object,based on the literature materials scattered in the local chronicles and the urban maps,and uses the characteristics of the human settlement environment during the booming period as the main line,sums up and summarizes the wisdom and experience of Xiangtan's traditional living environment practice.With a view to providing local experiences for Xiangtan's urban planning and construction today,it will safeguard the outstanding ethnic traditions in the future of China's urban construction practice,continue the historical context of the city,and shape the spirit of the eastern city.The paper guided by the theory of human settlement environment science,based on related historical materials,and combined with field survey as the main research method.First,it analyzes the development background of Xiangtan historical city,analyzes Xiangtan's urban physical and geography environment,historical and cultural environment,and socio-economic environment,and sorts out the evolutionary context of ancient cities in Xiangtan,from social and economic development,changes in urban site selection,and population growth.The analysis of the prosperity of the commercial city,the prosperity of the city,and the evolution of the urban morphology,etc.,summarizes the dynamics of the urban evolution in Xiangtan,and summarizes the laws of urban evolution as the background for the study of the urban human settlement experience in Xiangtan in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Secondly,by sorting out historical records of local human settlement construction records and map data,we examine the spatial factors of historical cities in Xiangtan and analyze the key elements of the historical city construction process in Xiangtan.Third,comprehensive analysis of urban construction in Xiangtan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties was carried out from three aspects of the overall urban spatial structure,commercial space expansion,and the human element series,summarizing the construction features of the urban spatial structure as a whole and the characteristics of urban construction in the context of economic prosperity.Urban Human Intelligence and Historical Experience in the Background.Finally,on the basis of the previous research,the author sums up the historical wisdom accumulated in the practice of Xiangtan's human settlements,and combined with the modern urban planning and construction of Xiangtan and the problems of contemporary urban construction,considers the contemporary application of historical experience and its inspiration.
