A Study On The Concept Of "sympathy" During The Husserl Göttingen Period

Empathy(Einfuhlung) is the key-concept in Edmund Husserl's Phenomenology of Inter-subjectivity. This dissertation tries to give a clear description and study of this kind of Phenomenology with the description of this key-concept. And I hope it can give answer to the criticism, that Husserl's philosophy is a kind of solipsism. The relative documents are mainly in Husserliana Vol.13-15. But here my study is mainly about Vol.13, his Manuscript in Goettingen time, when his phenomenological method was completed developed.Chapter one gives a description about the content of concept-history of empathy. Chapter two tries to reconstruct Husserl's ideal System of phenomenology, with which we can understand the position of Husserl theory of empath in his whole philosophy. Chapter three gives a new study of his method of phenomenological reduction, in oder to expend phenomenology from a subjective field to a inter-subjective field, preparing for the study of empathy. Chapter four is about the character of my body and my subject, where we consider the possibility of the other subjectivity growing and indicated from this pure Ego-field. Chapter five makes comparison between empathy and many other similar concepts in Husserl's perspective, giving a multiple understanding on thesis of empath. The last chapter is about the possibility of a common world in the basis of such a theory of empathy.
