By reviewing the three undergoing paradigms of the traditional translation study—the author-oriented paradigm, text-oriented paradigm and the translator-oriented paradigm, we can find that these paradigms exist in themselves some shortcomings of over-emphasizing a certain subject or a certain object. The main participants of the text translation—the author, translator and the reader together constitute the subjects of translation, and develops a kind of the mutual communication and interaction between themselves based on the text. And the inter-subjectivity is demonstrated. With the development of the western philosophy appeared the term"inter-subjectivity". It was first proposed by Husserl, further manifested and deepened in various fields. Habermas holds the opinion that, only one must go into the living world, can he realize his real subjectivity under the inter-subjectivity. Correspondingly, the subjectivity of the subjects of translation can only be demonstrated under the guidance of the inter-subjectivity of translation. And this inter-subjectivity can be effectively demonstrated only when it is based on the dialogue between all the equal subjects."Creating dialogue, not war"is the highest aim that inter-subjectivity pursues. The realization of a harmonious conversation is the ideal state that all the subjects struggling for. The relationship between the participants of translation—the author, the translator and the reader is a kind of inter-subjectivity which exists in dialogue. The mutual communication and interaction between them demonstrates the three features of inter-subjectivity which are oneness, disparity and harmony. And these features make us have a further and deeper understanding of the mutuality and the harmony of the inter-subjectivity under the"communication– behavior"theory. This paper has also elaborately demonstrated the inter-subjectivity of translation by using concrete poetry cases in the body part. And thus, it fully reveals the harmonious conversational relationship conducted between the subjects of translation which based on the media of language. And this totally conforms to the"communication-behavior"theory of Habermas. Thus, it persuasively demonstrates the great enlightenment of the Ha's theory to translation study. At the end of the paper, the author points out that to achieve the equal dialogue between the subjects, we should lead our translation study return to the real living world, provide enough free space for the inter-subjectivity of translation, and thus to promote the harmonious development of translation. The concluding part summarizes the whole paper.
