This dissertation is based on the study of the gourd worship and graphic representation inthe Chinese primitive philosophy.The characteristics of the seed multiplication of the gourd is consistent with the original people's reproduction and life consciousness,and thenatural shape of the gourd is very similar to the body of a pregnancy woman,form thegourd worship in the ancient times which was the nature of the mother's fertility beliefs.The ancient times of the gourd worship and legends,an empirical study on the gourd worship of the active gourd and its folk heritage,objects unearthed from the gourdworship,this three aspects of material mutual confirmation and supplement,showing theconnotation of maternal reproduction.It's not break at all and was in the social life,customs and etiquette of the Chinese ethnic groups for thousands years.The unique ideasconcept and symbols expression of the universe by Chinese people was appearing from then.Northwest Qinghai and Gansu plateau was the cradle of ancient Qiangrong clan.An analysis of a large number of living examples and remains in the northwest and southwestChina,showing this folk culture in the vast area is based on the unity of the ancient Qiang clan primitive belief with gourd(nature worship),tiger(totem worship),Fuxi(ancestorworship).Gourd is a human ancestor in ancient mythology,and also gave birth to the Chinese civilization.The maternal reproductive beliefs and the derivation of the conceptof the gourd worship constitute main content and core ideas in the Chinese primitive philosophy.It has influenced and promoted the development of the Chinese civilization for thousands of years.Chinese art system is the artistic expression of the Chinesephilosophy system,including the mainstream of the literati system and the vast majorityof the folk art system.The in-depth study and understanding of the origin Chinesetraditional culture context and carry forward the national spirit,was the thought and the subject,which was faced with the artistic creation and the artistic expression in the background of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the new era.
