According to the history of Chinese classic aesthetics,The Ming dynasty is a flourishing period.During this time,the establishment of humor theory were in a new situation with a lot of excellent works existing.This essay is based on the creation of humor literature in the Ming Dynasty by using tracing its source,analyzing the works and concluding the theories.First of all,the history of humor literature in ancient China has been traced from the beginning in the Qin Dynasty,the popularity in the Han and Wei Dynasty,the increasing development in the Tang and Song Dynasty and the discovery in Jin and Yuan Dynasty.The art experience in the Ming Dynasty had some existence of humor literature according to the law of literature.After that,the humor literature items in the area of jokes,operas,novels and poets in the Ming Dynasty has been collated.Operas were indispensable no matter in the legendary parts or the poetic drama in the Ming Dynasty.Novels became mature as they came from the local literature.This characteristic made it involve the sense of humor.The poetry filed has been controversial.The beauty of poetry needs to be decent while some humor items occurs in different ways.The final breakthrough were in the late Ming novels.In the end,the features and attitude towards the humor literature in the Ming Dynasty were analyzed by studying the Ming works.For the objects of aesthetics,the humor literature were created by criticizing the ugliness.There are two types of ugliness.One is about the appearance while the other is about the inside.From the attitude we may see that the Ming litterateurs were sad and conceit by being desolated.They were also affected by the local culture and liberated by the philosophy of the mind.
