The splendid culture of the Ming dynasty is one of the golden periods of ancient Chinese culture.It has its irreplaceable uniqueness in various aspects,such as food,clothing,housing,transportation,economy,literature,art and folk customs,etc.Ming Wu has rich social and cultural connotations.Through the study of Ming Wu literature in the Ming dynasty,we can have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the real situation of the society at that time.Currently the research of Ming Wu is limited to monographs or monograph studies,and there is no systematic bibliography specifically for Ming Wu literature.Based on this situation,this paper selects a novel perspective of combining bibliography and Ming Wu study to extensively collect Ming Wu literature of the Ming dynasty,following the scientific classification of “General Catalogue of Chinese Ancient Books”,and reveals the rich contents of Ming Wu literature of the Ming dynasty in the form of bibliography of Ming Wu,including: the author's life story;the version situation;the preface and postscript;the book style;the content;the background of the book;the authenticity of the content;the supplement anecdotes;comments on the right and wrong,etc.This paper is mainly composed of the following parts:The introduction part explains the reason,significance,methods and innovation of writing this paper,and the current status of the research on Ming Wu study.The note part explains the compiling principle and style of this paper.In the main body,106 kinds of Ming Wu literature of the Ming dynasty collected and sorted are classified into five sections according to their categories in “General Catalogue of Chinese Ancient Books”,namely,classics(i.e.Jing),history(i.e.Shi),sub-texts(i.e.Zi),collections(i.e.Ji)and clusters(i.e.Cong).Due to the variety of documents contained in the instrumental genus of subdivisions and the genus of flowers,trees,birds and animals,these two genus are divided into subcategories.The first is the Jing part,which contains special books on the interpretation of various scriptures,including poems,articles and prose.The second is Shi part,which includes Ming Wu literature of science and technology and of overseas products in Ming dynasty,and is divided into political books and geographic books.The third part is Zi part,which covers the most kinds of Ming Wu literature in the Ming dynasty.It is divided into the following 7 categories:The military category contains Ming Wu literature about weapons.The agricultural category is classified into genus,crop,horticulture and animal husbandry.Ming Wu literature about classification and identification of agricultural products and the use of animal husbandry have all been collected here.The medical category includes Ming Wu literature about medical and herbal medicine.The art category includes Ming Wu literature about pictures and music.There are 5 categories under catalogue category: the compilation category includes Ming Wu literature of the comprehensive compilation of the catalogue;the instrumentation includes Ming Wu literature about utensils,sundries,study,clothing and incense;the dietary collection includes Ming Wu literature related to tea;the genus of flowers,trees,birds and animals includes three categories: the combination of flowers,trees,birds and animals;flowers and trees;and birds,animals,insects and fish.Ming Wu literature of appreciation of the collection of ornamental stone is also collected.Miscellaneous articles include Ming Wu literature about things that are fun and playful in the comprehensive collection.Leishu category collects Leishu which dedicated to collecting Ming Wu literature.The fourth part is Ji part,which only includes Tu Benjun's “Li Sao Cao Mu Shu Bu”.The fifth part is Cong part,which contains the collection of “General Catalogue of Chinese Ancient Books” that has not been included in the first four parts,and is only recorded in Ming Wu literature of each series.The last part is the conclusion and index.
