Musical creativity is the concrete expression of general creativity in the field of music and the organic combination of general creativity and music field.Musical creativity plays a unique role in promoting people’s creative ability,stimulating people’s creative thinking and cultivating creative talents.Therefore,many countries regard musical creativity as the music core competence of students,and music creation as an important part of music education.In this context,the research on musical creativity has attracted more and more attention in the field of music education.However,over the years,the concept of musical creativity has mainly been product-oriented and the definition is vague;the structural components of musical creativity are unclear,and the lack of research on the implicit structure of specific objects cannot provide scientific theoretical basis for educational practice.Insufficient theoretical support,the lack of strategies and effective teaching model of the musical creativity cultivation have greatly affected the quality of education and teaching.In order to make up for the lack of research mentioned above,this study takes pre-service music teachers as the target,and constructs the teaching model of musical creativity cultivation on the basis of defining the concept of musical creativity,constructing the explicit structure of musical creativity,and exploring the implicit structure of musical creativity.This study mainly includes four aspects:Firstly,the concept of musical creativity is defined.Based on extensive literature analysis,historical judgment and theoretical thinking,this study explores the essence of musical creativity,analyzes the main dimensions of musical creativity,and clarifies some misconceptions of musical creativity.On this basis,taking "practice" as the orientation,musical creativity is defined as:the psychological quality of people who construct novel and appropriate music practice in a certain social and cultural environment.This concept is the unity of the four dimensions of people,process,product and environment of music creation,and the combination of individualistic orientation and socialcultural orientation.This concept is an operational definition for the field of music education,which lays a logical starting point for the theoretical research and educational practice of musical creativity in the later period.Secondly,the explicit structure of musical creativity is constructed from theory level.According to the structural theory of general creativity(integrating the advantages and disadvantages of the existing research on the structure of musical creativity),this study proposes a practice pyramid model of musical creativity based on mutual learning.This model contains the psychological structure and formation mechanism of musical creativity,psychological structure of which is a pyramid structure formed by the unification of musical creative thinking(convergent thinking,divergent thinking and musical thinking)and musical creative personality.The formation mechanism is that musical creativity is the process of constructing novel and appropriate musical practices(composition,improvisation,performance and listening)in a certain context.This structural model is the unity of psychological structure and formation mechanism,and the combination of static structure and dynamic structure.The explicit structure model of musical creativity based on the practice-oriented music education is proposed for the first time to enrich the structural research of musical creativity,providing the theoretical foundation for the education and cultivation of musical creativity.Thirdly,the implicit structure of musical creativity of pre-service music teachers is explored.Based on Sternberg’s implicit theory of creativity,the pre-service music teachers in China are used as the object to conduct an empirical research using the research idea of social validity.A total of 651 pre-service music teachers were randomly selected for a questionnaire survey,and SPSS 19.0 software was used to make the cluster analysis about survey data.The results showed that,at the high level,the implicit structure of musical creativity of pre-service music teachers could be divided into two dimensions:general creativity and music domain;at the middle level,it can be divided into six dimensions:music aesthetics,music novelty,music expression,music appropriateness,music culture and music technology;at the lower level,it can be divided into 14 dimensions:music aesthetics,music audibility,music style,music originality,music logic,music expression,music novelty,music function,music appropriateness,music technology,music tradition,music diversity,music uniqueness and music craftsmanship.Based on the mutual complementation of explicit structure and implicit structure,the paper further constructs the basic structure of musical creativity of pre-service music teachers,and refines the six main indexes of music creative thinking(including musical extensiveness,musical flexibility,musical originality,music aesthetics,musical syntax and music craftsmanship),forming the implicit structure model of practice-oriented musical creativity.Fourthly,the teaching model of musical creativity training for pre-service music teachers is constructed and verified.Taking the musical creativity structural model constructed in this study as the theoretical foundation,this paper constructs a reflective music creation teaching model,combined with three theoretical foundations:reflective practical concepts,thinking teaching theory and comprehensive curriculum view.This teaching model includes seven elements:theoretical foundation,teaching objectives,operating procedures,teacher-student activities,teaching environment,teaching evaluation and creation process.Under the interrelation and mutual restriction of all the elements,an overall teaching structure is organically constituted.Based on the basic structure of the teaching model of reflective music creation,and combined with the curriculum contents in the field of "music creation" of basic music education in China,the teaching model of reflective music listening,reflective music improvisation and reflective music composition are respectively constructed.In order to test the specific effect of this teaching model,this study has taken the pre-service music teachers in the third grade of XX Normal University as objects and has carried out an educational experimental study for one semester.The experimental class has adopted the reflective music creation teaching model,while the control class has adopted the traditional teaching model.The research shows that the reflective music creation teaching model can effectively improve the musical creativity level of pre-service music teachers,especially can significantly improve their general creative thinking and music creative thinking,but has no significant impact on the music creative personality.To sum up,this study uses the mixed research methods to systematically discuss the concept of musical creativity,the explicit structure of musical creativity,the implicit structure of pre-service music teachers’ musical creativity and other theoretical issues of music education.Based on the results of theoretical research,the paper explores the teaching model of reflective music creation and obtains valuable results.
