| This paper is based on the 29th World Conference on Music Education and analyzed 64 studies and some specific cases. It is aim to present characteristics of creativity more comprehensively and discusses the problems for further study.This paper is divided into five parts. The introduction is focused on the topic of origin, the status of creativity research in the field of music education both home and abroad, the purpose and significance, the subjects and methods. The first chapter has described the 29th World Conference on Music Education for creativity research from different cultural backgrounds, academic activities, direct and indirect researches, intelligence and non-intellectual factors, theories and practices. This chapter represented the characteristics of creativity research from the quantitative. The second Chapter is from academic paper presentations, seminars and round tables, poster to start the three forms of theoretical research and analyze the method, the object, the purpose of the research and the two specific cases "Assessing creativity in the secondary school classroom: Exploring variations in teachers' conceptions and practices " and " Research into Musical Talent Training Based on the Entity-orientated System from the Perspective of Curriculum and Teaching ". The third chapter is focused on the workshops and teaching activities of the conference and analyzed the teaching methods, objects, purposes and the two specific cases" Developing Musical Abilities Through Creative Engagement with Music Games " and " The Joy of Music: Middle Primary Students Participating in Active Music-Making ". The fourth Chapter is discussed about four questions: the creativities which everyone has, the awareness and creativities of music teachers, the creations of a favorable teaching situation and the establishment of the bridge between theory and practice.The significance of this research is based on the international conference, analyze the current status and characteristics of creativity in the field of music education, give inspirations to music teaching in the cultivation of creativity and provide a new perspective for further study . |
