The Transformation From Ancient Into Ego

As a group of painters in the Kang-Qian period of Qing Dynasty,the artistic achievements of the " Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou " were mainly reflected in the field of painting,although they also made great achievements in the fields of poetry,Chinese opera,calligraphy and seal cutting.In terms of calligraphy,at that time many of the " Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou " painters achieved success in the field of Official script based on the influence of epigraphy.Their Official script not only showed their face,but also manifested different appearances from special calligraphers and aesthetic tastes.On the whole,the Official script of " Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou " showed the characteristic of "the transformation from ancient into ego".With the Han Official script as the foundation,they not only formed a variety of styles on Official script,but also gradually integrated techniques of Official script into seal character,regular script,running script,and even painting,which formed an unique style of calligraphy which is "strange" and " eccentric " like Jin Nong's "Lacquer Script ",Zheng Xie's "Six and a Half Script ",Yang fa's " Cursive Seal Script " and so on,which indicated great innovation spirit.The " Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou " played a role of connecting the past and the future in the key transformation of Qing dynasty calligraphy from " model calligraphy" to " tablet calligraphy.".They not only developed the custom of learning stone tablet in the early Qing dynasty,but also formed the atmosphere of learning stone tablet to break the pattern of model calligraphy in the middle of the Qing dynasty,which provided a beneficial reference for the rise and prosperity of the theory and creation of tablet calligraphy after one hundred years.Besides,they created the history of the integration of "model calligraphy " and " tablet calligraphy" during modern times,which could be regarded as the pioneer in Qing dynasty.This paper selects the Official script of the "Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou " as the research perspective,and discusses the rise of the " Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou ",the group Official script,Official script and epigraphy,"the transformation from ancient into ego",in order to explore the transition process of the calligraphy from "model calligraphy " to " tablet calligraphy" in the middle Qing dynasty,which involve the revelation for the contemporary calligraphy creation.
