The "Eight Eccentrics in Yangzhou" is a group of Chinese painters with innovative consciousness.The emergence and development of the Eight Eccentrics in Yangzhou can not be separated from the superior geographical conditions,the rapid development of the commodity economy and the strong academic atmosphere in the early Qing Dynasty.They took nature as the teacher,innovated boldly,and created a unique road with their own understanding of art and life.The painting world in the early Qing Dynasty was shrouded in the atmosphere of abstinence and retro,and the four Wang were pushed into the orthodoxy of the painting world,who took the pen and ink of the ancients as their lifelong pursuit.The eight Eccentrics had changed the gloomily atmosphere of imitating the ancient spirit in early Qing Dynasty painting circle,drawn from Gu Yanwu's idea of innovative applications on reality and Shi Tao' s creative art views,and presented a brand new style of works.They paid attention to the real life,sympathized with the working people at the bottom of the society,but had no way to save the world,and could only hide their emotions into calligraphies and paintings,with works full of grief and indignation.The Eight Eccentrics transcends the traditional aesthetic criterion at that time,has broken through the barrier of the traditional literati painting.The"eccentric" the artistic characteristic and the secular tendency caused great dispute in the artistic atmosphere of"elegance" at that time.It is called "eccentric" since then,but their "eccentric" is not "different".because they were just devalued by the orthodoxy of the time for their uniqueness and rareness.The change of aesthetic bodies,the change of aesthetic tastes and the change of patron' s identities are the main reasons for the creative style of paintings of the eight eccentrics.Looking at the long river of Chinese and foreign art history,there are not a few people who experienced the same historical circumstances as the Eight Eccentrics.The author selects a school of art from both home and abroad to make a comparison with the eight eccentrics,and draws a conclusion that the emergence of the "eccentric" has a certain degree of universality.It is the overall trend of aesthetics.The paper is divided into six parts:introduction,explain the reason of the topic,related research and research methods.The first chapter discusses the age factors of the formation of eight strange ideas from the background of the emergence of the eight strange ideas.The second chapter mainly analyzes the psychological problems of the eight strange works and the style of the eight strange works of art,and probes into where the eight strange works are.The third chapter further discusses the forming reason of its "weird" painting style through the interpretation of the eight strange life experiences,the change of the aesthetic subject,the change of aesthetic taste and the change of the identity of the patron.The decline of one school and the rise of another,there is always a voice of doubt and cynicism But it cannot therefore be regarded as a standard of "strange",so the "strange" here cannot be interpreted as a "strange" in the traditional sense.It is the unruly personality of the eight strange and unruly,compared with the orthodox school of painting at that time.The spirit of daring to attack the dark reality,the behavior of reversing beauty and ugliness,not bound by the traditional techniques of writing and ink,and the infiltration of "vulgarity" in the works are all the reasons why the eight strange things were regarded as "strange" in the historical context at that time.In the fourth chapter,the author will put the eight strange in the modern aesthetic consciousness for interpretation,and discuss the change of appellation from "eight strange" to"eight schools" in the works of art critics,and why such a change will occur.Melt?What is the reason for the change of appellation?Is it still weird in the context of modern history?Finally,the central point of this paper,eight strange is not strange,the creation of the work is from the self-worth can not achieve grief,is a means of escape from reality.The fifth chapter is Yangzhou eight strange "strange" influence on later generations and bring us reflection.It can be seen that the evaluation of schools is not inflexible,with the passage of time,now "eight strange" on behalf of more is to seek change,seek different innovative spirit.This spirit has influenced a large number of art learners in later generations and promoted the development of modern Chinese art.In emphasis of creative thinking in nowadays,we also learn from the innovative ideas and the spirit of exploration of the Eight Eccentrics,respect the tradition,while not sticking to the tradition,take its essence,discard its dross,and strive to create satisfactory works.
