A Research On The Discourse System Of Chinese Local Novels In 1920s

This paper takes the "local novels" in the 1920s as the research object,takes Foucault's "discourse" theory as the methodological tool,and probes into the "position" of the local discourse in the social and historical space through the investigation of the historical context of the local discourse,the writer's subjective spirit,the narration of the local discourse,the acceptance and dissemination of the local novel and so on.It studies the discourse system and its operating mechanism of Chinese local novels in the 1920s from the perspective of the "exterior" of literature rather than the "interior" of literature.The complex modernity experience of the native writers,is also included in the ideology of the whole society and the formalization of the society,and finally points to the national cultural identity and the construction of the national subjectivity through the individual discourse practice,and the dissemination of the modern media such as literary periodicals and the acceptance of the readers.The discourse system of Chinese local novels in the 1920s is a flowing and constructive structural system.Its concrete performance process is inseparable from the modern process of Chinese society,and it is the discourse field in which all kinds of forces,such as city and countryside,tradition and modern,fight each other.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the full text consists of five chapters.The first chapter analyzes the social and historical context of the occurrence of local discourse,and discusses the formation and construction of local discourse in the 1920s.The influence of the western modern mode of thinking,the choice of the development of Chinese literature itself and the promotion of literary trend of thought contributed to the occurrence of discourse practice in Chinese local novels in the 1920s.The discourse connotation and expression of local novels are determined by the times,society and culture.The second chapter discusses the composition of the subject spirit of local novel writers.The dramatic changes of social structure and cultural structure form the unique emotional structure and collective experience of China in the 1920s."Homesickness utopia" is an important part of the modern experience of local novel writers,which is divided into different forms in the process of its concrete formation.Lu Xun's "reflective type" and Fei Ming's "repair type" are the two most representative types.The third and fourth chapters examine the function of local discourse in the 1920s in the construction of national cultural identity and subject identity,as well as the specific way of local discourse narrative."Local discourse" is the concrete recognition and expression of identity crisis in the context of the collision between tradition and modern times and the change of old and new cultures,in the face of the dual fracture of nation-state identity and self-identity and the modern spiritual dilemma of "homeless".At the same time,local discourse reconstructs the identity of nation-state and self from many angles,such as region,culture,history,language and so on.And "vernacular" has always been the spiritual direction of the writer's emotional identity.The fifth chapter studies the dissemination and acceptance of local novels.Based on the historical combing of the relationship between Chinese novels and readers,this paper analyzes the paradox that the preset "addressee" of "local discourse" and the "implied reader" set in creative practice are inconsistent.Most of the creators and audiences of local discourse belong to the petty bourgeois intellectual class,and the bottom peasants are not among them.The modern newspaper media has formed a strong public opinion space,in which the creation group,the recipient group,the editor group,the publisher group,the distribution group and so on have formed a new set of modern literature dissemination operation mechanism around the literary periodical,which has played the key role in the final formation of the local novel discourse system.
