Research On The Variation Of Character Unit In Han Manuscripts Literature Unearthed In Northwest China

As the key link and the most important part of Chinese characters,the component plays an integral role in the mechanism of planar assembly and generation of characters,which also has such functions as phonetic expression and meaning significance,and can even determine the property of the characters.The component changes constantly in the course of history,promoting the development of Chinese characters,whose forms and fabric modes also determine the shape,property and development direction of the Chinese characters.As a representative material of bamboo and silk in Han dynasty,the variation of the characters' components in Northwest Bamboo Slips is an important link in the history of Chinese characters,thus it is necessary to make a systematic study on it.Based on seven kinds of Northwest Bamboo Slips as research materials,this dissertation comprehensive not only studys the variation of their characters' components but also summarizes the variation types.We also analyze the causes of the variation and further discuss its influences and application.This dissertation is divided into two parts.The first part is the research part,which includes five chapters as follows.The first chapter is the introduction of the paper,including three sections.The first section makes the definition of the character's components and its variation,introduces the history and current situation of the research,as well as limits and discusses the research object and scope.The second section discusses the source,category and processing principles of the materials being researched.The technical means,specific methods and steps are also included in this section.The third section further mentions the research thought and the methodology.Both Chapter Two and Chapter Three analyze and summarize eight types of variation of characters 'components in Northwest Bamboo Slips.In the second chapter,the variation types of components such as generalization,transformation,cohesion and reverse writing are analyzed and summarized.In the third chapter,the variation types of components such as tokenization,decoration,orientation,combination and addition are also analyzed and summarized.In the forth chapter,we explore the causes and motivations of the variation of writing components.The fifth chapter presents the influence of the variation of the components in the Northwest Bamboo Slips on the characters in the later generations.we also do some research as check and interpret some doubtful characters and correct the errors in some handed-down and unearthed documents.The second part is the dictionary of Northwest Chinese slips text component variation,which is the research data.This part exhibits five subheadings named sequence number,font character,example of variation and the remark in the form of a table.We arrange the character order as shuowen,and the characters not found in shuowen are attached to the following by their ideographic components.The variant characters are the typical characters in the original slips,and each character is processed with special technology to ensure the fidelity and clarity o f the form.
