As a form of continuation of life narrative,art narrative is also the typification of life narrative.Everyone lives in the linear time in life,Timeliness is the nature of the narrative.The crossing of linearization creates a complex,multiple social narrative.However,this kind of social narrative can't be used to Art directly.The capacity of social life is unlimited,which is opposite to that in art narrative.Besides,the complexity of life narrative makes it hard to understand,let alone to appreciate.While,on the other hand,the significance and the value takes on.The screening,refining,and typification,even the fantasy to life narrative makes art narrative filled with the value of beauty-appreciation.Film,called the 7^th Art,was born after literature and dramas,with whose effect there exists the argument on the method of narrative,such as linear narrative,whose plot develops following time and causal logic;flat narrative,caused by flat character,was put forward by E.M.Forster;polyphony narrative concluded from polyphony novel by Mikhail Bakhtin and multiple narrative that is popular during 1980s and1990s.Recently,single linear narrative,double line linear narrative,nonlinear narrative,anti-linear narrative come up according to whether to arrange the plots due to the timeline.In nonlinear narrative,there are some detailed kinds,such as network narrative,circular narrative,thread narrative,database narrative and so on.For there exists different names whose clarification is not clear and only single narrative,double narrative and multiple narrative are mentioned in this paper for the consideration of the consistency of the film narrative.Single narrative is a narrative way in the trend of one-way narrative,including linear narrative.Double narrative belongs to multiple narrative.Because of its high proportion in narrative,it is necessary to argue about it independently which includes double clue narrative,combination of segment narrative and double vision narrative.Multiple narrative has three or more than three lines and anti-linear narrative.It is more than 120 years since the birth of film.In the initial period,film is used to record events happening during a period of time.The record of the shoot can't satisfy the audiences increasing need of watching a film.Some original filmmakers attempt to adapt some classic works from literature and play.This kind of adaptation built a bridge between film and the former forms of art.Film adaptation is closely attached to the literature works,which puts the elements into reading,such as characters as well as the relationship in between.Main plot and other factors need to be reserved by using the combination of sounds and pictures on the media.Adaptation is not a sort of simple translation,but a refreshing version with the distinction between word narrative and the nature of film narrative,aiming at giving audience a new form of their own understanding.Films carry fascinating genes since its birth from the fragment record in a single lens to the clips without intention,then,to the complete film on screens.Film narrative develops with the film,catching persons to explore continuously.In the study of the film narrative,single narrative is the leading role predominance as well as its first appearance,which is used in the most of Hollywood films and is not absolutely single narrative or linear narrative,but the trend of single narrative.With the development of film,the creators formed different trends in the attempt of narrative,the leading relationship also changed with the content.The development of film technology and film makes the physical capacity of the film extend continuously.Thus,causing more exploration to the mood of film narrative,the trend of double narrative makes the plot more complex than that in single narrative,leading the audience to improve their acceptance from single narrative works to double narrative film with more complex plot.In the development of film,the narrator needs to make the story clear and enrich its content.In the information era,more and more people confirm the viewpoint put forward by Canadian scholar,Marshall Mc Luhan.That is to say,media mean messages and they are the extension of the human.Currently,people gain information in a multiple,stereo network structure.Therefore,the characters and events displayed in front of the audience are no longer flat and single.The multiple ways make the world full in people's eyes,thus,the means of narrative also changed,whether single narrative story or multiple clue story,which can't afford the ways of narrative in film.Film stresses the rhythm of characters and plots in single narrative,while it stresses the theme formation,the complexity of psychology and emotion,which means the historical necessity to the film development.Compared to the relatively apparent and stable plot in single narrative,double narrative tendency and multiple narrative tendency play a role like“icebreaker”,simulating the edge of film narrative,using the film experiments many a time,which extends the space of film narrative and changes the impossibility of text narration into the possibility of lens narration.Mastering the limit of multiple narrative in multiple narrative film practice is important.For one reason,there still exists a limit in narrative;for another,the misusing of the edge of multiple narrative causes the difficulty in film narrative,even the destruction of film appreciation.In the basic physical and mental aspects,entertainment is necessary to all the humans,where the edge of audience's appreciation is not clear.In the superior aspect,the audience's affection to film is a kind of mental need.That reflection included in the film helps the author make the choice among single narrative,double narrative and multiple narrative.When the narrative method is chosen due to the aim,theme,audience characters,the content of the film is rich in value and its connotation.The research on single narrative,double narrative and multiple narrative,is actually focusing on the research of threshold value of the film narrative,which can bring in a safe range in film appreciation and acceptance.It can also mean that the possibility of narrative can beyond the range.In a word,there are different kinds of film and narrative,as well as the difference of telling stories and whether the story can arouse resonance or not.No matter which mood the film chose,single narrative,double narrative or multiple narrative,only by attracting the audience to explore the edge of narrative and keeping the audience's expectation may it be more meaningful.
