Wu Yifeng is an artist who is well-known for his sketching from life in the process of Chinese art in the 20th century.He has both traditional Chinese education and modern Western education.He is a "generalist" artist with excellent poetry,calligraphy and painting.In addition,he has experienced the ideological trend of the Chinese painting reform movement in the 20th century,and pioneered the art concept of realism based on ancient methods.With more than 40 years of sketching feats,he has completed the exploration of the characteristics of the times and the regional characteristics of the landscape of the Southwest.He pays attention to the expression of traditional landscape brush and ink and the transmission of aesthetic concepts,and thus formed the expression form of landscape painting that uses the ancient realism concept to write the real scene.At the same time,he also gives this landscape painting expression concept and form of expression with special vitality and expressive power.Based on the perspective of Wu Yifeng’s exploration of the pros and cons of his landscape paintings from life in the context of the times,this article studies Wu Yifeng’s achievements in the construction of the language system of Jiyou-style landscape paintings,and explores the equivalent times of Wu Yifeng and Lu Yanshao,Li Keran,and Tao Lengyue.The similarities and differences between the teachers and friends in the methods of sketching,theory,creation,and artistic conception,demonstrated the pioneering value and significance of the artistic concept of "using traditional pen and ink to write the real scene between the world and the earth".Examining the private relationship between Wu Yifeng and Huang Binhong,as well as the independent relationship between the concept of sketching and Hu Peiheng,it is clear that Wu Yifeng’s exploration of travel-style sketching in ancient ways is a spontaneous and conscious pioneering behavior.It is clarified that Wu Yifeng’s landscape paintings have the informative nature of geography and customs,the comprehensiveness of poetry,calligraphy and painting,and the reality of the content and subject matter,so that his works do not weaken subjective freehand expression because of excessive emphasis on realism and realism,but show instead.The reason for the strong "vitality" also points out the limitations of the visual form in the exploration.From the case study of Wu Yifeng,this article is the first time that Wu Yifeng is researched in the context of the times,providing theoretical support for re-understanding Wu Yifeng,broadening the richness of Wu Yifeng’s research materials,and also for studying the development of landscape painting in the 20th century.Provide a typical case for reference.This article will discuss in the context of why Wu Yifeng succeeded in the first half of the 20th century and received wide acclaim,but he was obscured by history in the later period,and few people know it.This is a context to clarify Wu Yifeng’s sketching landscape painting and the modernization process of Chinese art in the 20th century.The relationship,truly restores the exploration value of Wu Yifeng’s landscape painting from life.There are five chapters in this article.The first chapter is the introduction.It explains the origin and significance of the selected topic,the research focus and innovation,and the current status of the research.It explains Wu Yifeng as a typical case of exploring the transformation of landscape painting from life.The general status of the research.The second chapter is about the formation of Wu Yifeng’s concept of "writing the real scene between the world and the earth with traditional pen and ink".Through the explanation of the proposed background,the cause of the concept,the specific expression,and the debate with Hu Peiheng’s "ancient sketching",it is clear Wu Yifeng’s concept is a spontaneous and conscious exploration behavior,which is to re-excavate,examine,and reorganize the tradition,and discover the new value of the old tradition in the development of the new period.It is constructive and pioneering.The third chapter is the construction of the language system of Jiyou-style sketching landscape painting.There are four sections in this chapter.The first section analyzes the formation of the concept of Jiyou-style sketching and the relationship with the concept of "Looking Tour".The second section analyzes nature and contemplation.The three stages of reality and the innovation of tradition analyze Wu Yifeng’s life sketching process and art activities.The third section analyzes the language characteristics and aesthetic expressions of Wu Yifeng’s landscape painting creation,and finally extracts the Jiyou-style landscape painting on the level of truthfulness and realism.Meaning.The fourth chapter is a comparison with the sketches of contemporary teachers and friends.In this chapter,seven contemporary painters,Huang Binhong,Lu Yanshao,Tao Lengyue,Li Keran,Zhao Wangyun,Guan Shanyue,and Li Xiongcai,are writing physiology and composition,and Jiyou.Sketching and sketching creation,ink breakthrough and brushwork fusion,artistic conception and reality reproduction,scientific realism and ancient realism,etc.were compared.Through comparison,Wu Yifeng’s distinctive style characteristics and the transition period of Chinese painting were clarified.Explore meaning.The fifth chapter is about the vitality and limitations of Jiyou’s sketching landscape painting.This chapter is divided into two parts.The first part is the first three sections.It puts forward three unique aspects: the informative nature of geographic customs,the comprehensiveness of poetry,calligraphy and painting,and the reality of content and subject matter.The "vitality" of art,the second part analyzes its limitations from two aspects: schema concept and pen-and-ink exploration.Conclusion: Through the objective and systematic discussion of the above five chapters,the exploration value of Wu Yifeng’s sketching landscape painting in the history of art in the 20th century,as well as the establishment of scientific sketching and modern observation methods,on-site sketching and the transformation of time and space concepts Thinking.
