Study On Wang Jingzhai's Patriotic Thought And Practice

Wang Jingzhai was a great patriot of Chinese Islamic community in the first half of20 th Century,and had a certain position and influence in Chinese religious history,Chinese ethnic history and the history of the Republic of China.Wang Jingzhai translated a large number of works in his life.He was the first one who translated the Arabic Koran and Al-Wiqayah to Chinese.He also translated the famous Persian literary work The Garden of Truth,edited and translated the Chinese and Arabic Explanation of Chinese-Arabic New Dictionary,etc.He also served as the editor-in-chief of Yi Guang Monthly Newspaper which was published 129 issues in 19 years.After the Manchurian Incident,Wang Jingzhai took his pen as the flag and went around and called on others to join the defiance.He made a great contribution to mobilize the Hui ethnicity to join the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression actively.During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression,Wang Jingzhai devoted himself wholeheartedly to the torrent of saving the nation from the national subjugation,initiated the founding of the Chinese Hui Ethnicity Salvation Association,founded the Anti-Japanese patriotic Journals,translated and explained the classics,clarified the doctrines and declared the idea of resisting against Japanese aggression in a way that Muslims loved to see and hear.He was one of the patriotic �Four Great Imams� in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.In the tenth year of the Republic of China(1921),Wang Jingzhai first proposed the thought of loving both one's country and religion.It not only becomes the consensus of the Chinese Islamic circles,but also the consensus of the Chinese religious circles quickly,which has a profound influence.Wang Jingzhai was also a famous Islamic Imam,translator,journalist and social activist in China.This thesis is mainly on Wang Jingzhai's patriotic thoughts and practices.The introduction elaborates the reasons and significances for studying Wang Jingzhai's patriotic thoughts and practices,as well as the literature review,main contents,ideas and methods of this research.Chapter 2 describes Wang Jingzhai's life and academic activities.The third chapter is about the germination of his patriotism,which expounds Wang Jingzhai's religious interpretation of patriotic proposition and the affirmation of Wang Jingzhai's patriotic activities by Kuomintang Central Committee,analyzes Wang Jingzhai's thinking on that poor and weak China of the early 20 th century and passion for a strong and prosperous country with rare historical materials,proves that Wang Jingzhai is righteous,patriotic and impartial by historical facts.The fourth chapter which has the same strain with the third chapter,according to the principle of Marxism epistemology,human's cognition and development can't be separated from social practices,the formation of Wang Jingzhai's patriotic thought is naturally the same.The fourth chapter focuses on social practice activities,and the main purpose of these two chapters is consistent� elaborating that Wang Jingzhai founded the patriotic organization named Chinese Hui Ethnicity Salvation Association and initiated journals of the association(Notice of Chinese Hui Ethnicity Salvation Association,Yi-Guang Monthly Newspaper)and historical contributions of them.Chapter 5 elaborates the main contents of Wang Jingzhai's patriotic thought and Practice on the basis of the historical data of the Republic of China: Propagandize patriotism through Islam doctrines�establishing�patriotism belongs to belief� as a part of doctrines for Chinese Muslims;encouraging Chinese Muslims to fight bravely and actively with the example of Prophet Mohammad;calling on Muslim compatriots join the Anti-Japanese War actively with the Islamic classic�the Koran.During the Anti-Japanese War,Wang Jingzhai set himself as an example,embraced the United Front of CCP.Finally,it summarizes the characteristics of Wang Jingzhai's patriotic thought.Chapter 6 discusses the influence and enlightenment of Wang Jingzhai's patriotic thoughts,mainly discusses Wang Jingzhai's influence on Chinese religious circles,personality charm and academic contribution of Wang Jingzhai's writings;summarizes the enlightenment of Wang Jingzhai's patriotic thought on Contemporary Ideological and political education,the enlightenment of the Sinicization of Islam today,the enlightenment of traditional cultural identity and construction of patriotic thought theory.Wang Jingzhai's patriotism originated in the face of national difficulties and awakened the people for the purpose of resisting Japan and saving the country.Its essence is to call on Chinese Muslims to love their motherland with doctrines.Over the past hundred years,it has had a positive and far-reaching impact on the Hui ethnicity and Islamic religious circles.Patriotism has always been the eternal theme of all ethnic groups and religions in China's great homeland.It guides people of ethnic and religious circles to love and serve their motherland,adhere to the direction of Sinicization of religion and build a beautiful homeland together.Wang Jingzhai's patriotic thoughts and practices can be regarded as a monument of the times.
