With the rapid development of modern basketball games,coaches,as the main factor of basketball competition,are getting increasingly important in the game.In particular,when the overall competitive abilities of both sides are similar,the attack-defense strategies between coaches faces greater challenges and whether the coaches' decisions are successful becomes the crucial factor in determining the trend of the game.This paper uses methods including literature study,expert interviews,case analysis,video observation and mathematical statistic method,combined with my practical experience by following high-level sports teams in recent years.From the perspective of basketball coaches,this paper uses the whole process of one competitive basketball game as the timeline and dicusses the attack-defend decision-making on three stages including the preparation before the game,the control and command during the game as well as the evaluation and feedback after the game.This paper uses the competitive game theory,decision theory and game theory as the theoretical basis,and incorporates the realistic needs of the competitive basketball game.In this way,this paper tries to build the attack-defend decision-making support system for the competitive basketball game,explores and analyzes the contents and methods of basketball coaches' attack-defend decision-making,and analyzes classic cases to explore the features of attack-defend decision-making of different basketball coaches in different circumstances and find their common characters.And this paper aims to enrich China's basketball competition theory and is of significance for improving the coaching skills and abilities of basketball coaches in China and enriching thier coaching experience in the game.Conclusions of this paper are as follows: 1.Based on the information management science,the attack-defend decision-making support system for competitive basketball coaches achieves its effects on supporting decision-making by combining the analysis and interaction between coaches and players,and it includes four bases: the knowledge base is the knowledge system established by coaches through their long-term training and competition practice,which is the basis of the attack-defend decision-making;the information base is the process of information processing and information analysis,which is crucial for decision-making;the tactical system model base is the modeling processing and analysis of the offensive and defensive syetem based on the information base;The strategy base is the way to achieve the decision-making,including a collection of solutions of specific tactical forms and players' grouping.2.In the preparation stage,the attack-defense decision-making includes collection of athletic information,risk assessment,pre-match training arrangements and game plan making.The planconsists of four parts: game objectives,game rhythm,lineup combination plan and specific tactical strategy plan.3.The competition stage is the implementation of the the plan made before the game,and is also the decision-making process of quickly selecting and adjusting the plan by collecting and processing spot information.Language,body language and substitutions are the most frequent methods used by coaches in the implementation of decision-making in the competition stage.Time-out is the most important means of spot decision making.Coaches usually leave some time-out opportunities at the ending stage of the game.4.In the post-game summary satage,the summary of the competition is part of the whole process.It helps to make a comprehensive evaluation on the effectiveness of the preparation before the game and the control during the game,and also assess the process of tactical plans,tactical strategies,tactical methods and means,and other decision-making process before and during the game.It has feedback effects on the decision-making of later games.
