With the continuous advancement of education informatization,blended learning has gradually become the new normal of college education.How to master the status of teaching and learning in blended learning has become a topic of common concern for researchers and frontline teachers.Some researchers try to introduce the concept of student engagement and regard it as an important indicator of higher education quality evaluation.At the same time,the characteristics of multi-dimensional data collection,comprehensive data analysis,and micro-service orientation possessed by learning analysis technology provide new research perspectives for research in the field of student engagement.In this context,this research uses blended learning engagement as the research theme,and conducts an in-depth discussion on the research model of college students' engagement in blended learning environments from the theoretical and practical levels.This research specifically studies the following three aspects: First,how to construct a research model of student engagement in the context of blended learning in colleges? Second,how to design and develop student engagement measurement tools in the context of blended learning in college? Third,how to carry out applied analysis research on blended learning engagement with the support of learning analysis?Focusing on the aforementioned three research questions,this research uses questionnaire survey method,experimental research method and system development method to carry out the following research work: First,we construct a research model of blended learning engagement and explain its constituent elements and generation mechanism.Subsequently,corresponding measurement tools were designed and developed,including: classroom behavior recognition system that involved computer vision computing to complete behavior recognition,data analysis of learning platform combined with online learning data,and survey questionnaires focusing on influencing factors.Finally,the research carried out the application analysis of the generation mechanism of blended learning engagement.The experimental participants are 218 students in 14 classes of a university in the east of China.The data collection time lasted for one semester and the collection cycle was once a week.The data sources include video collection and questionnaire surveys,learning platform data extraction and forum post content analysis.The main findings of this research are as follows: First,a research model of blended learning engagement is constructed.Among them,the influencing factors include learners,learning content,information technology,teaching organization,learning community,and division of responsibilities.Blended learning engagement is composed of behavioral engagement,cognitive engagement,and emotional engagement.The learning outcome is composed of academic performance and satisfaction.In addition,it concludes four generation mechanisms of blended learning engagement,including single element activity element,multiple activity element,external activity element,and overall external activity.Second,an empirical framework for blended learning engagement is proposed,which covers the theoretical,indicator,tool,and application aspect.At the indicator level,the core indicator set of blended learning engagement has been sorted and refined;at the tool level,a tool system for blended learning engagement measurement has been designed and developed;at the application layer,blended learning engagement analysis process and data processing process have been proposed.The main conclusions of this research are as follows: First,the measurement tool system designed and developed in this research can complete the measurement of college students' engagement in blended learning.For influencing factors,questionnaires can be used to measure;for blended learning engagement,classroom behavior identification,learning platform data analysis,and questionnaires can be used to comprehensively measure;for learning outcomes,learning platform data analysis and questionnaires can be used to integrate measuring.Second,with the aid of the generation mechanism of blended learning engagement and the measurement tool system,college teachers can implement teaching interventions with the goal of increasing their blended learning engagement,and realize the application in teaching practice in colleges of the generation mechanism including single element activity elements,multiple activity elements,and external activity elements.With the help of the measurement tool system,college teachers can understand the specific situation of college students' blended learning engagement and determine the intervention goals.Through the generation mechanism of blended learning engagement,college teachers can select measures to implement interventions based on the actual situation of the curriculum.Finally,by using the measurement tool system again,college teachers can find out the effect of intervention.This research has certain theoretical and practical value.The research framework for blended learning engagement provides new perspectives and ideas for the follow-up research on blended learning engagement.The empirical framework for blended learning engagement and the measurement tool system developed can help college teachers reorganize blended learning activities,and improve college students' engagement in blended learning...
