The Influence And Countermeasures Of Neoliberalism On Contemporary College Students

Neo-Liberalism,regarded as a return to classical liberalism for advocating market fundamentalism,is the mainstream ideology in today's western society.It is characterized by both economic "freedom" and political "conservatism" for the sake of maintaining the rule of capitalism.The "freedom" of Neo-Liberalism leads to monopoly,the "procedural justice" conceals the virtual injustice,and the proposition of establishing "individual social order" triggers moral crisis.Neo-Liberalism is in essence a tool by which capital attempts to establish a hegemonic world order.Under the background of globalization and informatization,Neo-Liberalism's penetration into the world through various ways has brought about disastrous consequences.As a generation growing up under the background of market economy,contemporary college students are naturally equipped with the thinking characteristics of "market paradigm".Due to the lack of knowledge accumulation and life experience,many college students do not understand Neo-Liberalism,and then have cognitive confusion about the essence of Neo-Liberalism,which causes many negative effects.Neo-Liberalism makes full use of college students' characteristics and spreads to campus through various ways.Ideological and political education in colleges is not only an educational problem,but also a political problem.From the perspective of Marx's historical materialism,the inherent theoretical defects of Neo-Liberalism are analyzed academically in this paper.Historical methods are adopted to compare and analyze the characteristics of Neo-Liberalism's influence on college students in each stage,and clarify the historical evolution track of its influence.The related theories of communication,psychology and pedagogy are introduced to establish a new effective ideological and political education system,to resist the spread of Neo-Liberalism and eliminate its influence among college students.This paper consists of introduction and five chapters.In the introduction,the background of the topic selection has been thoroughly discussed,as well as research theories and practical significance are expounded based on the current situation of college students' ideological and political education.On the basis of introduction,the historical origin of Neo-Liberalism is sorted out in the first chapter.Its theoretical defects are analyzed under the guidance of Marxism,and the spread and influence of Neo-Liberalism in China are discussed from a historical perspective.In the second chapter,Neo-Liberalism's influence among college students is analyzed.By reviewing the influence history as well as studying Neo-Liberalism's influence mechanism and college students' psychological mechanism,the influence of Neo-Liberalism has been systematically expounded.In the third chapter the reasons are analyzed why Neo-Liberalism influences college students from the perspective of reality,influencing media,problems in college ideological and political education,and college students' own factors.The analysis of these reasons can not only enhance the effectiveness of resisting Neo-Liberalism's influence,but also provide some reference for enhancing the effectiveness of ideological and political education.The fourth chapter focuses on Neo-Liberalism's negative impact on college students.The negative influence brought by Neo-Liberalism is elaborated comprehensively from the aspects of dispelling beliefs,distorting values and blurring moral standards.Practical measures to solve the problems mentioned above have been put forward in the fifth chapter: to strengthen the discourse leading power of Marx in colleges and universities,to guide students to recognize the essence of Neo-Liberalism,to improve the ideological and political education of college students,to integrate social resources,and form educational synergy.The research in this paper always follows the problem orientation and adopts the research approach from theory to practice and then back to theory.The analysis of Neo-Liberalism's essence,influencing characteristics,influencing reasons,and targeted measures form the interdisciplinary and multi-dimensional research perspective,has enriched the discipline connotation of ideological and political education,realized theoretical innovation,and provided practical basis for ideological and political education of college students.
