The Research On The Indicator System Of Economic Development Modes In China

After 40 years of reform and opening up,China has become the second largest economy in the world and its modernization construction achievements have attracted worldwide attention.At the same time,China's economic development is faced with more complicated situation at home and abroad.With domestic resources and environmental constraints,rising labor cost pressures,the development mode that follows the extensive type and the low end of the industrial chain is increasingly unsustainable.Looking around the world,as new technologies,new formats and new economic forms continue to emerge,countries and regions all over the world are constantly adjusting and changing their development ideas and concepts,exploring and innovating development modes and paths in order to adapt to complex changes and challenges such as economic globalization,international competition,financial crisis,social structure and political thoughts,class and racial barriers.Economic development,which is related to the core competitiveness of the country,the national economy and the people's livelihood,is the focus of attention of all countries in the world today.China continues to deepen the understanding of the mode of economic development in light of its national conditions and stage of development,and steps from "changing the mode of economic growth" to "changing the mode of economic development",from "accelerating the transformation of economic development mode" to implementing the "five development concepts",with aim to build the core competitiveness of the country.This paper reviewed the evolution process of the research on the economic development modes in a comprehensive way.History shows that the modes of economic development must conform to the actual situation of a country and region,and cannot be simply copied or plagiarized.Different regions often adopt different modes of economic development.At different historical stages,the modes of economic development also undergo changes.This paper analyzed the historical practices of modes of economic development and the characteristics of the present stage in China.It summarized and analysed in an in-depth way the content and characteristics of China's economic development pattern transformation.It took economic development as a complex system covering a wide range of elements,rich in content,structure,classification and with functional interactions.It described the three perspectives of "scale and quality","factors and structure" and"consumption and production" that generate an organic whole featuring six dimensions:economic growth,structure optimization,quality and efficiency,innovation driven,resources and environment,improvement of people's livelihood.With regard to the transformation of economic development modes,economic growth provides guarantee,structure optimization is the essence and focus,quality benefit is the goal and requirement,innovation is the key factor and internal driving force,resources and environment are important manifestation,and improvement of people's livelihood is the starting point,foothold and fundamental purpose.The evaluation index system of China's economic development mode constructed according to the six dimensions can cover such fields as economy,society,resources,environment,and people's livelihood.It has a complete range of categories and meets the current situation in China,and can dynamically reflect the mode of economic development in China.This paper made deep mining of official authoritative data and quantitative integration of different indicators using comprehensive evaluation method to set up an index model for the transformation of economic development modes in China.Through calculation,rich data samples on the transformation of the modes of economic development of China and its 31 provinces(cities,districts)from 2000 to 2016 were obtained.On this basis,the paper used structure analysis,spatial comparative analysis,time series analysis,principal component analysis and cluster analysis to make empirical analysis on sample data.The analytical results show conformity with the actual situation of the mode of economic development of China,which validates the soundness of the indicator system and index model in this paper.Calculation results of the transformation of economic development modes in China and 31 provinces(cities,districts)from 2000 to 2016 show that remarkable achievements have been obtained in the transformation of the modes of economic development with the total index rising from 39.31 percent to 61.89 percent,and rises in indices reflecting the six dimensions of classification and transformation of the modes of economic development.At the same time,the paper also made an in-depth analysis of the indicators that need to be promoted in the next step.The total index in the four regions in the East,middle,West and Northeast China in 2016 was 67.26 percent,59.01 percent,56.93 percent,and 54.20 percent respectively,which has been significantly improved compared with 2000,but the regional disparity is still large.The results of the transformation of the economic development modes in provinces were compared horizontally,and the provinces with great changes were analyzed.By using the principal component analysis and cluster analysis methods,the paper studied the relevance of the six-dimensional classification index,such as economic growth,structural optimization,quality and efficiency,innovation driven,resources and environment,improvement of people's livelihood,in the process of transforming the economic development mode in China.The main components and their changes,as well as the differences in economic development patterns among 31 provinces(cities,districts)in different dimensions,quantitatively reveal the different stages and characteristics of China's transformation of economic development methods.The evaluation index system,index model and the statistical analysis results as proposed by this paper gave a good picture of direction,soundness status and effect of transformation of China's economic development,and provided strong support in terms of statistical data sample and analytical methods for regions to find inadequacy and make improvement.Finally,the paper concluded the evaluation conclusion of China's economic development mode and put forward the research prospect.
