Research Of The Economic Development Of Wuhan Based On Multivariate Statistical Analysis

Since the plan of "the rise of central China", the development of Wuhan has been one of national key focus, after decades of development, the overall economic development of Wuhan City has made remarkable achievements, but the urban economic development still exist a certain differences. On the reasonable and objective of the research is to develop the premise and foundation of urban economic development policy.This thesis is organized as follows:Chapter 1 introduces the background and research significance, briefly describes the current situation of the development of Wuhan city as well as research ideas and innovations in this paper, the second chapter introduces the principal component analysis, factor analysis, hierarchical clustering method, correspondence analysis of these four basic concepts of multivariate statistical analysis methods, the third chapter research on Wuhan city economic development has carried on the empirical analysis, selected the appropriate index variables firstly and objective comparison based on principal component analysis and factor analysis score in Wuhan City ranking of economic development, combination of two kinds of evaluation results, and indicates that a situation of Wuhan urban economic development, then use system clustering method to study the structure of economic development. Finally using correspondence analysis linked each city’s economic development and the corresponding indicators, and reflects common economic characteristics very intuitive reaction by two common factors identified in the floor plan, at the same time it can be seen What each city’s economic development is mainly reflected in the economic indicators, and make more scientific classification. The fourth chapter is the conclusion of the article, summarizes the research process and results of this paper, as well as for the Wuhan municipal government to formulate city economic development policy, providing optimization measures and recommendations. Finally, also reflecting the shortcomings of this article and prospecting the future research directions.Most of the existing literature adopt a certain kind of multivariate statistical analysis method to study the economic development situation of the urban, innovation of this paper is integrated in the study of Wuhan city economic development in multivariate statistical analysis of principal component analysis, factor analysis, correspondence analysis, system clustering method of these four methods, from different angles on a comprehensive evaluation of indicator data, and the evaluation result has carried on the detailed analysis and explanation.
