Research On The Reproduction Of Total Social Capital

Social production always repeats the same process in cycles in a certain historical period.When we study economic and social production,the object in front of us is social "re-production" from the very beginning.Unlike the isolated examination of the production process itself,the study of the reproduction process must be carried out in a maze of connections and changes,in which production,distribution,exchange and consumption are linked together as different links of the reproduction process,and in which all the relations of production are established and constantly reproduced.What kind of mode of production there is what kind of form of reproduction,with the capitalist mode of production is the total social capital reproduction movement.Therefore,the study on the reproduction of total social capital is a key to understand the capitalist society.In the second volume of Das Kapital,Marx systematically expounded the circulation and reproduction process of the total capital of the capitalist society,and established the scientific theoretical system of social reproduction for the first time in the history of economic thought.As the concentrated embodiment of the social reproduction theory,the reproduction scheme solves the problem of value compensation and material compensation in the total social capital reproduction,obtains the equilibrium conditions of reproduction,which lays a solid foundation for our further research.Marx's scheme of social reproduction assumes the exchange of products according to their value,and does not take into account the factors such as technological progress and credit for the time being,also has a certain abstractness.In the third volume of Das Kapital,Marx discusses the average profit margin change process of the formation of the value to the production price,illuminates the capital from the perspective of social total capital special motion law,conform to the narrative method of Marx from abstract to concrete.Then,under the action of the law of a general rate of profit,when value is transformed into the production price,does the equilibrium condition of reproduction change? Can there still be a balance? That is to say,does capitalism's special mode of production destroy the conditions for the realization of reproduction and lead to economic crisis? Marx had already discussed in the second volume that the imbalance between the updated fixed capital and the depreciated fixed capital would lead to the economic crisis,but due to the manuscript nature of the second and third volumes of Das Kapital,Marx did not have time to make a more detailed explanation.This paper argues that we need in Marx's theory of the whole system to understand the theory of social reproduction,along the path of Marx,is further evidence that the realization of the capitalist mode of production will inevitably destroy the reproduction conditions,in order to demonstrate the internal contradictions of the mode of production and the root cause of the cyclical economic crisis.This paper started the study on the basis of this research.The abstractness of reproduction schema is inevitable in the process from abstraction to concreteness.It is not the manifestation of non-scientific nature,nor the manifestation of historical limitations.In order for the social reproduction schema to better explain reality,this paper takes the improvement of the assumptions about the exchange of products by value in the reproduction schema as the starting point,by introducing the law of a general rate of profit,expands the hypothesis of commodity "exchange by value" in the reproduction schema to "exchange by production price",reconstructs the model of social total capital reproduction and makes a preliminary attempt to enrich and develop Marx's theory of social reproduction.Guided by the fundamental viewpoints and methods of Marx's dialectical materialism and historical materialism,this paper studies the reproduction of total social capital by means of dialectical logic and mathematical analysis.According to the concretization of the theory and the application of the theory,the research results of social reproduction theory of domestic and foreign scholars are analyzed in detail.First of all,this paper reexamines Marx's schema of social reproduction,analyzes three cyclic forms of capital,and clarifies that the research on reproduction should be based on the circulation of commodity capital.The reproduction schema is generalized and the proportion relation between the two categories is investigated,the main expression of the abstraction of the reproduction schema is summarized,and the hypothesis of "commodity exchange at value" is improved by introducing the general rate of profit,so as to make the reproduction schema more specific.Second,because the paper will introduce the law of a general rate of profit to the reproduction scheme,make the goods exchanged according to the production price,this paper sorts out the law of a general rate of profit discussed by Marx,and summarizes the three main problems of the field,namely the production price of factors of production,whether "two equal" is true,the specific process of formation of a general rate of profit.After summarizing and analyzing the relevant views of predecessors,this paper puts forward the viewpoint of this paper through the construction of model and theoretical analysis,and then explains the formation mechanism of the production price.Finally,this paper introduces the average condition of profit rate into the reproduction schema,re-constructs the social reproduction model,solves the model and makes a preliminary analysis of the movement rule of total social capital.According to the model constructed,this paper adopts the usual method of marxist political economy to select numerical examples for numerical simulation,and makes a comparative analysis of the simulation results.By introducing the law of a general rate of profit to reconstruct the social reproduction model and the corresponding numerical example simulation,this paper mainly draws the following conclusions: First,a cyclical economic crisis is bound to break out in liberal capitalism.The fundamental cause of the cyclical economic crisis is the capital's constant pursuit of high profits,which is the inherent contradiction of the capitalist mode of production.The direct cause of the cyclical economic crisis is the insufficient consumption of total surplus products.Second,the government macroeconomic regulation and control is necessary,and should follow the principle of profit margins and wages,on the one hand,we should formulate structured industrial policy,increase support for advanced manufacturing and other sectors,it can not only prevent the periodic crisis caused by the free flow of capital,but also consolidate the foundation of industry and realize sustainable and high-quality development;On the other hand,we need to ensure that wages are commensurate with the level of economic development,neither too high nor too low,so as to meet the people's needs for a better life without undermining the enthusiasm of the market economy and promoting sustained and sound economic development.Third,China has an institutional advantage in macro-control.The fundamental reason lies in the leadership of the party,the position of the people as masters of the country,and the basic economic system dominated by public ownership,which are interconnected and organically integrated.The innovation of this paper is to reconstruct a dynamic model of social reproduction by improving the assumptions of the reproduction schema,and draw the corresponding conclusions.But because this is the assumption of "Commodity Exchange by value" condition is improved,is still a preliminary research on the theory of social reproduction,in this paper,the model also done a lot of simplification,such as the choice of the price of supply and demand function,profit margin and the expected demand calculation and so on,these are the need to continue to improve in the future.
