Regional economy has been a hot issue of economic development in China,and the differences of economy between all the regions from China are not narrowed with the rapid growth of economy,and it shows us a tendency of increasing.Transportation infrastructure plays an important role in regional economic development because of the leading capital of social and economic development,meanwhile,transportation infrastructure supports and guarantees the development of regional economy.Therefore,study the contribution of transportation infrastructure to regional economic growth based on theoretical research,by accurately grasping the economic laws and mechanisms between transportation infrastructure and regional economic growth in China,and it will be possible to find a new way to effectively narrow the regional economic differences between transportation infrastructure and regional economic regional economic growth.Based on the research of the relationship between transportation infrastructure and regional economy both home and abroad,the paper finds that most scholars focus on the developed areas,rarely involving Tibet and other remote areas in the west of China,so it will leave a certain space for this research.The paper tries to sort out and analyze the previous research results and relevant theories from the perspective of history and development,it is learned that scholars from home and abroad have made relatively further research in this field by analyzing literature,especially transportation infrastructure has been an important role in the economic development of a region.On this foundation,the paper concluded that transportation infrastructure causes the spatial spillover effect of traffic infrastructure through the characteristics of network and externality by analyzing the evolution process of traffic and economic development and the mechanism of the impact of traffic infrastructure construction on regional economic growth.But the effect of spatial spillover will affect the region that involved in the traffic network through the superposition of diffusion and the effect of agglomeration,finally,and it will promote the regional economic growth and spatial coordinated development.Tibet Autonomous Region is studied in this paper,the paper systematically,comprehensively and deeply reorganizes the construction process of transportation infrastructure of Tibet,it studies and explores the ancient transportation of Tibet from the perspective of transportation history.It is found that transportation infrastructure construction of Tibet has made remarkable progress,the transportation has been three-dimensional,and a three-dimensional transportation network that is composed of roads,civil aviation,railways and pipelines has formed.With the rapid urbanization of Tibet,the basic,leading and strategic role of transportation is highlighted,and the agglomeration of transportation on the surrounding population and industry is emerging,and then the prototype of point axis system has been formed.The improvement of transportation infrastructure has great contribution on the development of regional spatial and macro-economic growth of Tibet.However,transportation infrastructure and economic aggregate of Tibet are still far behind the mainland by two ways of crosswise,and Tibet is still in the"catch-up"stage of transportation and economic development.In evidence,this paper studies the impact of transportation infrastructure on economic growth by using model SVAR and pulse diagram,based on the existing data,it finds that the increase of highway mileage by one standard deviation can promote the growth of regional GDP by tow percent directly.At the same time,the highway mileage indirectly promotes the economic growth by increasing the passenger and freight volume.Railway also has a positive role in promoting the economy.By comparison,highway has a greater significance and contribution to economic growth than railway.Meanwhile,this paper discussed the mechanism from the perspective of economic theory,explained how the transportation infrastructure affected the economic growth in a region by analyzing regression.Railway infrastructure mainly improves the per capita income level of Tibet Autonomous Region by increasing the tourism income,while highway infrastructure affects the economy by improving the industrialization level of Tibet Autonomous Region.The paper gives different paths that infrastructure of the highway and the railway affects economy from the perspective of the impact mechanism.In addition,this paper uses the coupling coordination degree analysis model and entropy method to determine the weight of each index in order to further understand the relationship between traffic and economy.It shows that the coordination between highway and railway has improved since Qinghai Tibet Railway was opened to traffic.Especially after the 12thFive Year Plan,Tibet has gradually mastered the coordination law of transportation infrastructure construction and economic development and taken effective measures from the previous"bottleneck restriction"of transportation to the stage of high-quality coordination in the 13thFive Year Plan by increasing the investment in transportation infrastructure,it confirmed that the relationship between of them is a"virtuous circle".The paper systematically combs the relevant data between transport infrastructure and regional economic development of Tibet,which is relatively comprehensive and systematic in the current relevant literature.At the same time,the paper verifies the impact of transport infrastructure of Tibet on economic development by using different models,and enriches the relevant literature from an empirical perspective.In terms of policy suggestions,based on the actual situation of Tibet and the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis,this paper puts forward policy suggestions such as increasing the investment in transportation infrastructure,reasonably planning the structure of transportation infrastructure and driving the development of regional economic integration through the moderate and advanced development of transportation,making the direction of the formulation of transportation development policies return the essence of serving the economic development of Tibet.It could actively promote the comprehensive and coordinated development of transportation and regional social economy of Tibet by the aid of the Belt and Road.It also has important strategic and practical significance for economic development of Tibet.
