In order to realize the coordinated development of the economy of Beijing Tianjin and Hebei, China proposed the establishment of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. With the rapid development of B-T-H region deepening, the development gap between the cities of B-T-H region becomes larger and the economic growth between the cities of B-T-H region is not uncoordinated. In addition, the academic circles think that transportation infrastructure is the foundation of economic growth, and with the rise of spatial econometrics, the scholars put forward that the traffic infrastructure exists spatial spillover effect on regional economic growth. Therefore this paper wanted to study the effect and function direction of transportation infrastructure on regional economic growth and function difference among different transportation infrastructure from the perspective of space on this basis, and then put forward several policy suggestions about how to reduce the gap of the economic growth and achieve coordinated development of B-T-H region.Firstly, this paper analyzed the theoretical basis of the spatial spillover effect of traffic infrastructure and the effect of transportation infrastructure on regional economic growth on the perspective of space from the theoretical level. Research conclusion:first, the spatial dependence of regional economic growth, network and externality of transportation infrastructure are the theoretical basis of the spatial spillover effect of traffic infrastructure; second, the spatial spillover effect of traffic infrastructure on the region economic growth included Macro level and micro level, and laid the theoretical foundation for the empirical analysis.Secondly, this paper analyzed the development status and spatial distribution of traffic infrastructure and regional economic growth of B-T-H region before the empirical analysis and the preliminary study found that there is a similar spatial distribution of traffic infrastructure and regional economic growth in B-T-H region, thus further proved the importance of the research about the effect of transportation infrastructure on B-T-H region economic growth on the perspective of space.Thirdly, the empirical research includes two parts in this paper. The one part is an exploratory analysis of the spatial structure of the regional economy of B-T-H region, exploratory spatial data analysis is an indispensable part of spatial econometrics, through exploratory spatial data analysis, it is found that there is a significant spatial correlation among the regional economy in B-T-H region, then it further proves the necessity and effectiveness of the subsequent spatial econometric model analysis. The other part is that from the area of empirical analysis, this paper use the traditional econometric model and spatial econometric model with the bootstrap residual analysis method to analyze the regression model with the Bootstrap residual method. Research conclusion:first, Spatial econometric model is superior to the traditional econometric model on analyzing the effect of transportation infrastructure on B-T-H region economic growth; second, the output elasticity of capital and labor is positive and the output elasticity is the largest and they are still the main factor to promote the economic growth of B-T-H region, but the output elasticity of capital and labor are in a downward trend, however, the output elasticity of the stock of human capital, the level of urbanization and railway and highway transportation infrastructure are also positive, but they are in a upward trend; third, The effect of highway transportation infrastructure on regional economic growth is greater than that of railway, but the average annual growth rate of the spatial spillover effect of the railway traffic infrastructure is higher than that of the highway, thus, the spatial spillover effect of railway transportation infrastructure will occupy the leading position.Lastly, this paper puts forward several suggestions on how to achieve the coordinated development of B-T-H region through the rational distribution of transportation infrastructure.
