Research On The Coupling Coordination Between Sustainable Tourism Development And Sustainable Land Use

With the steady development of society and economy and the gradual improvement of the people's demand level,the tourism industry that with the characters of green,non-pollution and strong industrial integration has developed rapidly,which has greatly promoted the development of tourist destinatione's economic benefits,social benefits and ecological benefits.Land is the material basis and fundamental guarantee for the development of tourism industry.The exploitation and utilization of tourism resources and the development of tourism activities are all based on land.The exploitation and utilization of tourism resources and the tourism activities are all based on land resources.Therefore,Government gradually incline to tourism industry when allocating land resources.The rapid development of tourism industry has promoted the level of land conservation and intensive use and realized the land value better.At the same time,because of the predatory exploitation and excessive consumption of tourism resources and land resources,on the one hand,the natural environment and human environment of tourist destinations have been damaged,on the other hand,the situation of unsustainable land use has been aggravated.Since the 18 th CPC national congress,under the "five-pronged approach" strategy of "economic construction,political construction,cultural construction,social construction and ecological civilization construction",Notice of the State Council on the Issuance of the 13 th Five-Year Plan for Tourism Development points out the concept of "green water and green mountains are mountains of gold and silver" should be firmly established,and green development should be integrated into the whole process of tourism planning,development,management and service,so as to form a new pattern of modern tourism featuring harmonious development of man and nature;Outline of National Territorial Planning(2016-2030)proposed to comprehensively promote the development,protection and improvement of land and accelerate the construction of a beautiful land which is safe,harmonious,open,coordinated,competitive and sustainable.However,scholars' research on sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use mainly focuses on their connotation,influence,strategy,planning and evaluation,few scholars combine the two to make a systematic research.Sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use are the important content of the "five-pronged approach" strategy and the effective way to achieve it.Taking the coupling mechanism of the two as the research entry point,and exploring the coupling coordinated development path has become an important perspective to promote regional economic benefits,social benefits and ecological benefits.Based on these,this thesis takes Luojiang District,Deyang City,Sichuan Province as the research object.Firstly,it systematically reviews the research progress of domestic and foreign scholars on sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use.Secondly,it elaborates the related concepts and theoretical basis in detail,and then clarifies the coupling between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use.Then,taking Luojiang District of Deyang City as an example,this thesis comprehensively measures the level of sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in the past 15 years,and analyses the evolution trend and influencing factors.Based on these,this thesis explores the coupling characteristics and mechanism between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use.Based on the results of theoretical research and empirical research,this thesis explores the path of coordinated development between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in Luojiang District.The specific contents of each chapter are as follows:Chapter 1: introduction.This chapter mainly elaborates the research background,research aim and research significance,and combs the domestic and foreign scholars' research progress on sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use,including the key areas of research,research topics and so on.On this basis,this chapter find out the shortcomings of this research area,and grasp the focus of this research area.At the same time,this chapter describes the main contents,research methods,possible innovations and research framework of this thesis.Chapter 2: relevant concepts and theoretical basis.This chapter first elaborates on the concepts of sustainable tourism development,sustainable land use and coupling and coordinated development,which includes concepts,connotations,principles and objectives,etc.Secondly,this chapter explained the core theory of this study--sustainable development theory,and related theories--human-land relationship theory,system theory.Based on this,this chapter analyzed the coupling driving force,coupling mechanism,coupling process,coupling content,coupling ways and possible risks of coupling between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use,which consolidated the theoretical basis of this study.Chapter 3: construction of Evaluation Index System and selection of evaluation methods.On the basis of clarifying the general idea of constructing the index system,this chapter preliminarily constructs the evaluation index system of sustainable tourism development and the evaluation index system of sustainable land use in Luojiang District according to the principles of scientific,comprehensiveness,accessibility and dynamics.After consulting experts' opinions,the index system of this study has been modified and perfected pertinently,and the index system of this study has been formed.The evaluation index system of sustainable tourism development includes 35 indicators in four dimensions: sustainability of tourism resources,economic feasibility,social acceptability and environmental rationality,and the evaluation index system of sustainable land use includes 28 indicators in three dimensions: economic feasibility,social acceptability and environmental rationality.Then,according to the situation of this study,multi-objective comprehensive evaluation method was selected,and the basic principles and specific calculation steps of the evaluation methods were described in detail.It includes dimensionless index;weighting by analytic hierarchy process;weighting by entropy method;comprehensive weighting by analytic hierarchy process and entropy method;comprehensive evaluation;calculating annual change rate.Chapter 4: overview of the research area.This chapter comprehensively introduces the general situation of the research area from six aspects and clarifies the reason why this thesis chooses Luojiang District of Deyang City as the research area.The first is the geographical location and administrative division,the second is the historical evolution,the third is the general situation of physical geography,the fourth is the general situation of social and economic development,the fifth is the general situation of tourism development and tourism resources,and the sixth is the general situation of land use.Chapter 5: comprehensive evaluation of the level of sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use level in Luojiang District.Based on collecting and sorting out the data of indicators related to sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in Luojiang District from 2002 to 2016,this chapter dimensionless the data to make it comparable firstly,secondly,this chapter uses subjective analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and objective entropy method to weighting the indicators respectively,and then optimizes the weights of indicators by synthesizing subjective and objective weights,so as to enhance the scientificity and rationality of the weights of indicators.Based on these,this chapter evaluates the current situation and changing trend of sustainable tourism development level,the current situation and changing trend of sustainable land use in Luojiang District comprehensively.Finally,the annual change rates of sustainable tourism development level and sustainable land use level in Luojiang District were calculated.Chapter 6: research on the interaction and coupling coordination between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in Luojiang District.Firstly,through panel data test,including unit root test,cointegration test and Granger causality test,this chapter clarifies the interaction and driving mechanism between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in Luojiang District.Secondly,this chapter constructs the coupling coordination degree model of sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in Luojiang District and explains the evaluation criteria and development stages of the coupling coordination degree.Then,this chapter measures the level of coupling and coordinated development between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in Luojiang District.Finally,according to the results of theoretical and empirical research,the problems of coupling and coordination between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in Luojiang District are explored.Chapter 7: the path of coupling and coordinated development between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in Luojiang District.According to the theoretical and empirical research of this thesis,this chapter explores the path of coupling and coordinated development between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in Luojiang District.Including the following seven aspects: promoting "multi-disciplinary integration" and creating "one blueprint" for regional development;"one city,two belts,three areas and five lines" to construct the global tourism development pattern;strengthen the construction of information technology and improve the management ability of tourism land;developing the tourism land scientifically and rationally to promote the level of economical and intensive utilization;optimizing industrial structure and promoting the integration of tourism and multi-industry;strengthen the construction of ecological civilization and carry out the strategies of green development;coordinating stakeholders and building a mutually beneficial and symbiotic interest communityChapter 8: research conclusions,inadequacies and prospects.This chapter summarizes the above chapters and proposed out the main conclusions of this thesis.And then,it points out the shortcomings of this research and looks forward to the possible research directions in the future.Through theoretical and empirical studies,the main conclusions of this thesis are as follows:Firstly,Sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use interact with each other and jointly affect regional development.On one hand,sustainable tourism development continuously improves the sustainability of land use by promoting the economical and intensive use of land resources and enhancing the value of land.On the other hand,the sustainable land use continuously provides material basis and fundamental guarantee for the sustainable tourism development.The sustainable tourism development and the sustainable utilization of land in the tourism resources,land resources,economic benefits,social benefits and ecological benefits and other aspects from the primary coupling stage to a high coupling stage.They are constantly integrated and develop in a coordinated way to jointly promote the improvement of regional economic,social and ecological benefits.However,it is worth noting that it is necessary to prevent and control the policy risk,capital risk and development and utilization risk in the coupling process of the two aspects.Secondly,the sustainable development level of tourism is affected by four dimensions as the sustainability of tourism resources,economic feasibility,social acceptability and environmental rationality.The degree of its influence from high to low in turn for the sustainability of tourism resources > economic feasibility > social acceptability > environmental rationality.The empirical results show that the total number of tourism resources,the number of tourism festival activities and tourism revenue are the key factors to promote the sustainable tourism development.The sustainable level of land use is affected by three dimensions as the economic feasibility,social acceptability and environmental rationality.The degree of its influence from high to low in turn for the economic feasibility > social acceptability >environmental rationality.The empirical results show that industrial output per unit area,GDP per unit area and fixed asset investment per unit area are the core elements to promote sustainable land use.Thirdly,the unit root test,co-integration test and granger causality test were conducted on the panel data,the results show that there is a long-term stable co-integration relationship between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use in the research area,and sustainable land use is an important reason to promote sustainable tourism development,while sustainable tourism development has no significant impact on sustainable land use.Fourthly,empirical research shows that the sustainable development level of tourism and the sustainable level of land use in Luojiang district are always in a highly coordinated state,that is to say,when the sustainable development level of tourism is low or high,the sustainable level of land use is correspondingly low or high.The index of the coupling degree of coordination between the sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use shows a continuous rising trend,and its coordinated development improves the regional economic benefits,social benefits and ecological benefits.In the process of development,the tourism development model and land use model are constantly optimized and adjusted,which jointly promoting the sustainable development of Luojiang.Compared with the existing relevant research results,this study attempts to innovate in the following three aspects:Firstly,the research perspective has certain innovation.Scholars' research on the relationship between tourism and land focuses on the classification system of tourism land,evaluation of tourism land,planning of tourism land,stakeholder groups,etc.,and there are few studies on the coupling and coordination between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use.This thesis regards sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use as a composite system,and systematically analyzes the coupling relationship between them by combining qualitative theoretical research and quantitative empirical research,which is innovative in the research perspective.Secondly,the coupling mechanism between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use is clarified.This thesis introduces the theory of coupling and coordination,and in consideration of the theory of sustainable development,the theory of man-land relationship and the system theory,on the basis of clarifying the connotation and extension of the concepts of sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use,the coupling mechanism of tourism sustainable development and sustainable land use is deeply explained from six aspects: coupling mechanism,coupling driving force,coupling content,coupling process,coupling approach and coupling risk,which has a certain degree of theoretical innovation.Thirdly,the path of coordinated development between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use is put forward.Based on the theory of coupling and coordination,this study first uses unit root test,cointegration test and Granger causality test to explain the interaction between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use.Secondly,by constructing the coupling coordination degree model,the current situation and evolution process of the coupling coordination level between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use of research area in the past 15 years are analyzed,and the shortcomings in the process of the coupling coordination development are pointed out.Finally,according to the results of theoretical research and empirical research,the path of coupling and coordinated development between sustainable tourism development and sustainable land use is put forward.
