"Banquet music" is an important and special type in ancient Chinese music culture,which plays an important role in ancient Chinese culture.Different from the general types of music,ancient Chinese banquet music is divided according to the actual use of music.All the music used in banquet activities and music-related content can be called banquets.Therefore,banquet music is a very inclusive category,its text presents a variety of multielement,motionless,and closely combined with the exhibition space.The premise of the existence of banquet music is exhibition,and the exhibition behavior occurs in the exhibition space.The exhibition space includes three levels.First,the physical space of the banquet exhibition,that is,the place where the banquet exhibition occurs,the relationship between the location of the banquet performance and the overall place,and the position relationship between the banquet performance and the viewer,that is,the relationship between the subject and the guest of the banquet.Second,around the banquet music exhibition,the communication space between the sender and the receiver of the banquet music.And third,the banquet activities in which the banquet music exhibition takes place.It can be seen that the banquet music exhibition will inevitably occur in the banquet activities,between the subject and the guest who participate in the banquet activities.The significance of the banquet text will inevitably arise between the two.Therefore,all the functions of the banquet music are produced through the communication between the host and the guest of the banquet.Such communication must require a response,which is not necessarily sent out on the spot,nor is it necessarily directly expressed,but it must exist.Therefore,the study of the communication function of banquet music is to study what kind of communication between subject and guest in different types of banquet activities,so as to achieve what kind of purpose.Therefore,banquet music does not only exist as entertainment music,but has a variety of functions.The division of ancient Chinese music is usually divided into Yayue and Suyue.The development of Yayue is relatively stable.The Yayue of the banquet music is generally used in the banquet activities related to the official political ceremony of the country,such as the Yuanhui,Sheli,and the emperor banqueting the master of the other countries,and so on.The Yayue used in the banquets can be roughly divided into two types: the Yayue specially made for the banquet activities and the Yayue get from the Jili.The former is represented by the Sixiangyuege,while the latter is typical of the guests in and out of the music.Suyue part presents the colorful characteristic,with the dynasty replacement unceasing change.Suyue in banquets also shows the same characteristics.The discussion of this paper focuses on the Suyue of banquets.The time of the research is from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the Sui and Tang dynasties.Taking history as the stage,starting from three parts: the text content of the banquet music,the causes of the banquet music text content,and the communication function of the banquet music in the specific banquet exhibition space,this paper probes into the specific functions realized by the banquet music through the communication among the banquet participants.Chapter 1 is the combing and discrimination of the basic concepts involved in this paper.First of all,it includes the origin of banquet activities,the initial use of banquets,the differences and relations between banquets and Yanyue,as well as the basic definition of banquets in this paper.Secondly,it is the discrimination of the three basic concepts in the history of Chinese music,namely elegant music,ritual music and folk music,in order to understand the nature of banquet music more clearly.Finally,it is the communication between banquet music exhibition space and banquet music,including the definition of banquet music exhibition space,the relationship between banquet activities and social culture,the emphasis on the purpose of banquet activities,and points out that the banquet music in banquet activities has the corresponding purpose,which is realized through the communication function of banquet music.Chapter 2 is a discussion of the function of banquet and music communication in the pre-Qin period.The characteristics of the banquet music text in the pre-Qin period are "poetry" as the core,from the Zhou Dynasty to the Chunqiu Fu Shi and then to the Zhanguo Nvyue is quite prosperous.Its causes depend on the development of "music education",the strict and effective system of etiquette and music,and the specific diplomatic situation in the Spring and Autumn period.In the exhibition space of Yanli,whether in terms of its physical attributes or as far as its cultural space is concerned,on the one hand,it conveys the value of "propriety" and,on the other hand,it conveys the value of "harmony".Therefore,banquets and pleasures show different functions according to their specific use.In the diplomatic banquet activities,the banquet music has the language attribute,acts as the direct communication tool between the participants in the banquet,implicably and accurately transmits the specific information.Finally,when taking the pavilions as the physical space of the banquet exhibition,the banquet activities have a strong entertainment attribute,in which the banquet music acts as the pure entertainment of the ears and ears.Chapter 3 is a discussion of the function of banquet and music communication in Qin and Han dynasties.During the Qin and Han dynasties,the aristocratic system began to disintegrate,the class flow intensified,and the music education ended.Therefore,the aesthetic trend of the upper class music,coupled with the change of the physical space of the banquet music exhibition,as well as the foreign communication of the unified regime,led to the popular banquet content such as hundred plays,music and dance,which were mainly ornamental,as well as the Chu sound of playing in the form of harmony and song.In the foreign communication activities,the banquet music conveys the boastful information,in the Yuan Dynasty as the core political ceremony,the banquet music participates in the construction of the monarch-minister relationship,and in the daily private banquet activity,the banquet music can realize the emotional communication between people.Chapter 4 is a discussion of the function of banquet and music communication in Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern dynasties.This period is a period of awakening of personal consciousness,so the banquet music is full of lyric content.In the late Han Dynasty,as for the class solidification and door valve system gradually formed in the Eastern Jin Dynasty,it was finally shaken by the cold people in the Southern Dynasty,and Wuge Xiqu became popular.In addition,because of the open attitude of the foreign ethnic groups in the Northern Dynasty,Huyue entered China in large numbers and occupied an important position of banquets.In addition,in addition to the social turmoil in this period,most of the ruling class indulged in banquets,resulting in its content constantly inclined to entertainment.It is worth paying special attention to the formation of new banquets such as public banquets and elegant collections in this period.Banquets are mainly responsible for maintaining the communication function of literary groups in the former,while the latter is mainly literature,which is listed in the text in order to compare with the songs of the Han Dynasty.In addition,because of the changes in society and the emergence of different cultural contexts,banquets also exist as symbols of cultural identity.Finally,different from the previous generation,banquet music not only has the symbolic function of assisting the construction of the core of Chinese culture,but also has a more practical function in the external banquet activities.Chapter 5 is a discussion of the function of banquet and music communication in Sui and Tang dynasties.The Sui and Tang dynasties was another unified period after the Qin and Han dynasties.Because of the foreign origin of his regime,the construction and maintenance of the identity of the Communist Party of the world,and the extremely tolerant attitude towards different cultures and groups,the banquet music in the Sui and Tang dynasties showed an unprecedented mixture of Hu and Han dynasties.In addition,Tang Taizong separated the functions of music and politics,which promoted the development of banquets in this period in a more entertaining direction,while the prosperity of Daqu music structure further promoted the entertainment of banquets.In this period,in the history of China,there were first "banquets" officially stipulated as the content of the ceremony,and in this activity,banquets exist as the display of the national image on the one hand,and also have the political function of hinting and maintaining the identity of the co-owners of the world on the other.In addition,there are many festivals in Tang Dynasty,and the frequency of festival banquets is also very high.This kind of banquets are generally called banquets.The banquet was hosted by the emperor and the people as guests,and its exhibition space was in the square,thus showing the "carnival" characteristics of the square performance.Finally,the clan relationship in Tang Dynasty has also changed compared with the previous generation.The universal concept of "family world",which is mainly "pro" in the pre-Qin nationality Yan,presents a characteristic of "pro" and "sparse" in Tang Dynasty,and the use of entertainment in it is in line with this contradictory characteristic.
