From the perspective of "cultural resistance",this research focuses on examining Taiwanese writers’ establishment of a Han Cultural awareness based on ethnicity, language, and locality in the complex background of the times on the basis ofthe actual literary texts of Yang Kui,Lu Heruo,Zhang Wenhuan,Long Yingzong, etc.and studies the competition, coordination and confrontation with the “Emperor People’s Movement”by excerting Japanese to write Chinese traditional culture and Chinese Taiwan’s local culture. To this end, this thesis discusses the writing strategies of Taiwanese writers through the analysis of the specific style of the novel and its language use.At that time,Taiwanese writers were not only able to master Japanese well, but also resisted the Japanese through adding Japanese into local elements. This thesis draws on the methodology of "language reset" and "text reset" and analyzes the cultural resistance strategy of "de-empire" used by Taiwanese writers in Japanese writing."Language reset" mainly refers to the appropriation of Japanese by Taiwanese writers, which mainly includes language reset strategies such as annotations, untranslated words, and transliteration of common sayings in southern Fujian. From the perspective of "language reset",although Taiwanese writers are forced to write in Japanese, they have always focused on how to write the lives of Taiwanese.Their writing style has constructed a language world with Chinese cultural and national characteristics,in which the diversified appropriation strategies challenge and undermine the normative and privileged nature of Japanese."Text reset" refers to the tendency of Taiwanese writers in the text to reflect on the Japanese authorities’ modern discourse of covering up colonial exploitation based on Chinese cultural consciousness, returning to the "Oriental culture" rooted in traditional Chinese culture and rediscover its value. There exists misalignment and out-of-focus between the requested subjects in “national policy”.Secondly, this thesis also examines the power of the authorities whichseveral Taiwanese writers who write in Japanese face when they are infront of the three "propositional compositions" of volunteers,"Japan-Taiwan region Goodwill",and the "propositional composition" for the family to describe the production line where the writing strategy should be adopted to resist the imperial colonial policy. The Taiwanese young people who are enlisted as "volunteers" portrayed by Taiwanese writers have a strong sense of the Chinese nation. They are not Taiwanese who "died for the empire." They are burdened with unspeakable shadows and traumas under colonial rule. The relationship between colonial nations is also a "propositional composition" that writers are asked to write at that time. However, the writings of Taiwanese writers all show the unequal relationship between the colonizers and the colonized. After all,"interior-Taiwan harmony" is an illusion that cannot be truly realized.Under the appearance of "national goodwill",the derogation and contempt of the colonized by the colonists is still an existence that cannot be ignored. This study argues that Taiwan writers perfunctory colonial authorities for the writing requirements of the policy, and turned to writing indomitable spirit of resistance, including the return to the local, folk tradition and praise of the beauty of labor.Yang Kui describes the tragic life of farmers and workers under the aura of "industrial warriors",exposing the dual embarrassment of miners’ material and spiritual lives. In Lu Heruo’s "The End of the limelight",the Japanese government’s production policy is not promoted as expected by the Governor’s Office. The government and landlords are placed in secondary roles, and the labor of farmers is placed in the main position. In In the Clouds,Zhang Wenhuan avoids the theme of "increasing production and serving the country" stipulated by the Intelligence Department, and selectively focuses on and writes his usual female narratives, which blurs the focus.Long Yingzong’s "Young Sea" does not promote the conscription policy as expected by the Governor’s Mansion, and focuses more on describing the daily life of soldiers, which shows his ideological dislike of the military state and concern for the fate of the people at the bottom.By studying the national narratives and writing strategies of the Taiwanese novels which resists the imperialism movement writen during the end of the Japanese occupation,it is helpful to refine a kind of international,colonial-resistant,and a community of shared future with the Chinese culture itself as the main body. The narrative and thought of "De-Empire" serves as a cultural bridge for Chinese people on both sides of the strait to jointly speculate on the historical issues left over by imperialist aggression and colonization in the 20 th century and move towards national independence.
