| The traditional study of Shijing reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty,especially in making textual criticisms and explanations of characters and words,which makes it difficult for later generations to match.However,the work of systematically sorting out and summarizing the research of Shijing is still insufficient so far.If this subject is to be dealt with,it is necessary to use the monographs on Shijing.At the same time,the textual criticism in academic notes and collected works of Qing Dynasty,which were ignored by academia for a long time,must be utilized.The main research object of this dissertation is the materials of Shijing research in collected works of Qing Dynasty.By selecting sections that is academically significant in the materials we mentioned above,and combined with other research literature on Shijing,we are trying to make full use of the unearthed documents and cultural relics currently known and then analyze these materials one by one.Last but not least,We will summarize the methods and value of Shijing research in collected works of Qing Dynasty on the basis of the above work.There are four chapters in this paper.The first chapter illustrates how scholars in Qing Dynasty corrected the predecessors’ mistakes and divides their methods into three categories: differentiating and analyzing variants,obtaining meanings through pronunciation and obtaining meanings from text.The second chapter illustrates how scholars in Qing Dynasty supplemented the opinions of senior scholars.By examining specific Shijing research,we attempt to judge whether the viewpoints about Shijing in collected works of Qing Dynasty is right or wrong.The third chapter illustrates how scholars in Qing Dynasty discriminated the controversial issues about Shijing that senior scholars discussed.The last chapter gives examples of scholars in Qing Dynasty who made same mistakes as the predecessors did,such as weighing the ancients with present standards,changing the characters of Shijing by mistake,misquoting the pseudograph,explaining the meaning of words without real understanding,etc. |
