Xie Zhending was a poet during the Qianlong and Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. He was famous in the north and south for his rebellion of He Shen, which led to his resignation. His people were admired for his integrity.Xie Zhending is not a hypocrisy, and he is full of enthusiasm;he hates flattery for officials, and always being himself;he rejects the genre of schools and disdains to follow secular rules;he hates the feudal attacks for learning and refuses to follow blindly. This article is divided into the introduction and the text. The introduction introduces the situation of Xie Zhending and the Collected Works of Zhichi Zhai,as well as the current research status and significance. The text begins with six aspects of Xie Zhending's family and life, friendship, edition system, thought of article, content and characteristics. The first chapter introduces the family and life of Xie Zhending.Xie Zhending was born in the Qingshan family with unnoticeable virtue. The Xie family in Qingshan has no fear of the bigwigs. They were generous to help others, studying hard but not only for fame and fortune, being officials but not following the world, and finally,a rigorous and regular family tradition was formed. This tradition affected all life of Xie Zhending. The second chapter introduces Xie Zhending's friendship situation, which is grand in fact. When he was an official in Beijing,Xie Zhending often participated in various literati gatherings with Fa Shishan. And Xie Zhending has three trips to the South, having a good relation with Wang Wenzhi and Wang Wenzhi's friends. It is just that Xie Zhending is cold outside and hot inside,so many literati exchanges are limited to gatherings. There are few private exchanges. The third chapter sorts out the edition systems the Collected Works of Zhichi Zhai. The existing versions of the Collected Works of Zhichi Zhai are currently organized into three systems: the Xie family's engraved version, the Xie family's fixed version, and Li Zutao's commentary version. The forth chapter introduces thought of article, content and characteristics of the Collected Works of Zhichi Zhai.Xie Zhending's creation of ancient essays respects true temperament, believes that the true emotions are right. And at the same time, the ancient essays require that he should be vigorous and powerful, great talent and profound knowledge.Because of his personality,Xie Zhending's articles are all independent as a premise.Xie Zhending's article is mainly of people and things, and almost about loyalty, filial piety, chastity and righteousness. The rest is some political essays and letters, which are practical. The characteristics of essays embodied in the article also coincide with his creative ideas. The fifth chapter introduces the poetry's content and artistic characteristics. The content of the poems includes three aspects: literary friendship, travel and revealing the true feelings in the event. In addition, there are many small categories such as farewell poems, illustrated poetry, occasional poems,Object-chanting poems, chanting history poems, etc. The artistic characteristics of poetry include three aspects: good at elaborate, favorite at allusions, and full of vitality. The artistic characteristics of Xie Zhending's poems and writings are formed through continuous fusion and practice, basing on his true temperament and drawing on the views of various schools and schools during the period of great fusion of thoughts of Qianlong and Jiaqing. There are appendices after the article, one is the chronicle of the Collected Works, and the other is the collection and arrangement of reference materials of Xie Zhending's life and his Collected Works.Hope to showing Xie Zhending's life and activity authentically.
