A Study On The "Cannibalism" Narrative Of Modern And Contemporary Chinese Literature

The thesis focuses on the narrative research of "cannibalism" in modern Chinese literature and places it under the macro political and cultural background of "unprecedented changes in thousands of years" from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,and in the process of the modernization of Chinese literature.By tracing back to the ideological and cultural changes in this historical period,writers’ cultural choices and creative practices,the modernization of novel texts and other factors The development context,reasons for formation,mature signs,evolutionary dynamics,theme construction and other aspects are discussed in depth,and the related works are analyzed,criticized and discussed specifically,and the narrative phenomenon of "cannibalism" is systematically studied.As a special narrative type,the origin,formation,development and evolution of "cannibalism" narrative basically covers the transformation process of Chinese novels from traditional to modern.Its development can be summarized as follows: its foundation is the two-way interaction between the modern western "cannibalism" legend and the ancient Chinese "cannibalism" text after the western anthropologists and sociologists’ research achievements on "cannibalism" entered China;The beginning of the narrative phenomenon of "cannibalism" was the short story "Yu Chu Jin Yu Ren Rou Lou"(hereinafter referred to as "Ren Rou Lou"),which was published in Korean on No.5 of the Xinmin Series on the eve of the "novel revolution" in the late Qing Dynasty(April 1902);After the beginning of the "cannibalism" narrative,the works that have certain significance for it to become a narrative phenomenon include the extraterritorial novels "cannibalism society" and "cannibalism country" translated by Chen Jinghan and Hebei Juesheng between 1904 and 1907;The symbol of the formation of the narrative phenomenon of "cannibalism" is Mr.Lu Xun’s short story "The Diary of a Madman" published in the New Youth magazine,Volume 4,No.5,at the beginning of the May 4th literary revolution(1918);After that,the novels that were more mature and extended this narrative phenomenon,supplemented the connotation of metaphorical "cannibalism",as well as Kong Yiji,Medicine,True Story of Ah Q,Blessing,etc.created by Mr.Lu Xun,and his translated novel Words of Cannibals;After the May 4th New Literature Movement entered the second decade,metaphorical "cannibalism" narrative novels developed,including Wang Jingzhi’s "Human Meat",Cui Ying and Her Husband’s Story,"Father and Daughter","Jesus’ Command","Yankee Children",and Ba Jin’s "Home",Cao Yu’s "Thunderstorm",Lao She’s "Crescent Moon",Xiao Hong’s "Life and Death Field" and "Hulan River Biography" Zhang Ailing’s "The Golden Lock" and other works.The first chapter to the sixth chapter are the main parts of the thesis,which are respectively:the creation,development and causes of formation of the "cannibalism" narrative;The opening of "revolution in fiction" and the beginning of "cannibalism" narrative;Lu Xun’s novels and the formation of "cannibalism" narration;The extension o f metaphorical "cannibalism" narrative;The spiritual dimension of "cannibalism" narrative;The modern transformation of "cannibalism" narrative.The paper focuses on four issues: First,the basis and reasons for the creation of the "cannibalism" narrative phenomenon.On the basis of sorting and classifying the narrative text of "cannibalism",we should clarify and promote its production of Chinese and Western ideological resources and discourse preparation;Secondly,the representative and typical writers and works involved in the literary works of the "cannibalism" narrative phenomenon were deeply studied,the text was analyzed,and the role and significance of the relevant works in the evolution of this narrative phenomenon were discussed;The third is to study the spiritual dimension embodied in the evolution of "cannibalism" narrative phenomenon;The fourth is to analyze the inherent modernity power in the process of the creation,development and evolution of the "cannibalism" narrative phenomenon and the modernity representation embodied in the text.Through the above research,it is revealed how the "cannibalism" narrative has gradually evolved from a real "cannibalism" event to a cultural and political metaphor with criticism as the spiritual core,thus becoming a landmark discourse of the modernization of Chinese literature;It constructs the development track of "cannibalism" narrative,and confirms the spiritual connection and development inheritance between different times and different works;This paper analyzes the internal motive force of the development of "cannibalism" narrative phenomenon;I have excavated and sorted out the works that have long been ignored by the academia in the "cannibalism" narrative phenomenon,and confirmed its value and academic significance in the formation of the "cannibalism" narrative phenomenon.On this basis,he has made innovation and breakthrough in the following three aspects: first,he proposed and confirmed the narrative phenomenon of "cannibalism";The narrative phenomenon of "cannibalism" is investigated in multiple dimensions;The third is the tentative construction of the new vision of modern novel research.
