As one of the most prestigious and distinctive folk songs in the art treasure pool of the Chinese nation,northern Shaanxi folk songs come from the loess land and have been handed down for more than 100 years.During its developing journey,it embodies the simplicity of the primitive loess people,the lofty and heroic nature,the hope after being baptized by wars and the changes of modern inheritance.There is a fault situation in the inheritance process of northern Shaanxi folk songs.The old generation of singers has become aging gradually,while the young generation has shown weaker cultural recognition towards the expression style of this traditional music,which all leads to the interference of the inheritance and development of the performance of northern Shaanxi folk songs.As the professional teachers from tertiary institutions located in the northwest region,we should give a full play of local advantages to investigate and research more profoundly on the culture of northern Shaanxi folk songs in order to achieve its inheritance,development and innovation.Hence,in 2012,Xi’an Conservatory of Music had set up the major of northern Shaanxi folk song performance to shoulder the responsibility of important inheritance of cultural and art eduction of Shaanxi.In the arena of musical research,the researches on northern Shaanxi folk songs are quite abundant.However,very few touches on the study of it special contemporary development mode,that is the inheritance and development of northern Shaanxi folk songs in tertiary institutions.This paper starts from this angle,setting the origin of northern Shaanxi folk songs as its research start point,followed by carrying out the study of the inheritance and features of northern Shaanxi folk songs in the contemporary high schools.Firstly,we sort out the original historical background of northern Shaanxi folk song to grasp fully the understanding of categories of this folk song.Meanwhile,take Xi’an Conservatory of Music as an example,we undertake analysis and arrangements of the development of northern Shaanxi folk songs in tertiary institutions from different angles and multiple layers.By interviewing the old generation of musicians such as Qiao JIanzhong,Bai Luping etc,we deeply revive the reason,process and achievement of the development of northern Shaanxi folk songs in tertiary institutions.Next,from the perspective of professional trends for teaching results,singing styles as well as singing techniques,we conduct a profound analysis of the inheritance and development of northern Shaanxi folk songs in tertiary institutions. |
