The Research On Literature Of The Xuancheng Mei Family In The Ming Dynasty

Xuancheng Mei family was a cultural family with a history spanning over a millennium in China.Xuancheng Mei family had great achievements in fields such as literature,linguistics,painting,astronomy,medicine,mathematics.The family reached cultural development’s peak has three times in its history.Mei Yaochen’s poems opened the new explorations for Song poetry in Song Dynasty.The poetry and literature of Mei Dingzuo and other family members in Ming Dynasty propelled the second peak of family culture.The multicultural achievements of Mei Qing,Mei Wending,Mei Zengliang,and other family members in Qing Dynasty marked the arrival of the third peak.The literary and culture of the Xuancheng Mei family not only promoted the development of regional culture,but also held an important position in the history of Chinese literature and family culture.The dissertation falls into three parts:introduction,the main body containing seven chapters and conclusion.The introduction section explains the origin,research status of the Mei family literature,the research goals and theoretical significance,and the research content and methods.The first chapter discusses the origin and development context of its thousand year family of Xuancheng Mei family.The family literature and culture’s three peak periods are summarized.The first chapter providing a historical background for Subsequent text research on the Xuancheng Mei family literature in Ming Dynasty.The second Chapter discusses family culture traditions and family scholarship.And family traditions and family scholarship had impact on the development of the family and promoted the development of family literature.Chapter Three examines the upward mobility,marriage studies,and literary interactions of the Mei family in Xuancheng through historical materials and mutual verification of poetry and literature,and analyzes the role of these factors in the formation of the family’s literary family.The first chapter discusses Xuancheng Mei family’s overall poem characteristic and members poetry features in order to revealing the internal laws of the development of family poetics.The five chapter discusses Xuancheng Mei family’s overall article characteristic and members article features.It includes the preface,postscript,letters,etc.In order to summarize its inheritance and development of family culture and writing style.The six chapter discusses literary creations of the Mei family’s fiction and opera,including Mei Dingzuo’s Stories of the Talent Ghosts,Tale of the Blue Mud Lotus,Opera Yuhe Ji.The seventh chapter positions the creative achievements and literary history of the Xuancheng Mei family in Ming Dynasty,showcasing their contributions and influence in the field of literature.The conclusion reveals the essence of family culture.Through this study,we can not only gain a more comprehensive understanding of the cultural achievements of the Mei family in Xuancheng,but also recognize the important position of family literature in the development of Chinese ancient literature,further promoting the study of Xuancheng regional literature,Anhui southern regional literature,Ming Dynasty literature,as well as the in-depth development of ancient Chinese family literature and cultural research.
