There’s always countermeasure to the policy,which is a phenomenon of organizational behavior that cannot be ignored and has an important impact on the realization of various objectives in the operation of an organization.According to the logical thinking through appearance to essence,the core research problem of the relationship model between governance structure,directional goal dissimilation tendency(DGDT)and organizational performance is puts forward,taking the ubiquitous phenomenon of goal alienation as the starting point.Centred on this core research issue,the structural dimensions of DGDT is extracted the and the measurement scale for DGDT is developed,firstly.Then the classification of governance structure is proposed under two-dimensional governance framework.After that,a conceptual model to explore the relationship between governance structure,DGDT and project performance is established.Finally,the impact of DGDT between governance structure and firm performance is investigated.This study investigated the dimensions of DGDT,and developed the scale of DGDT.Based on the qualitative research method of grounded theory,data is collected through several methods such as semi-structured interviews,and analysised using the grounded-theory coding steps.The results showed that DGDT is a two-dimensional construct that includes positively DGDT and negatively DGDT.On this basis,the measurement scale of DGDT is developed,which consists of five items under positively DGDT dimension and six items under negatively DGDT dimension.This study classified governance structure under the dual governance framework.Firstly,the intension of dual governance framework and governance structure are expounded.Then we supposed that governance structure is the configuration of formal and relational governance,and there is an asymmetrical relationship between formal and relational governance.Based on on these two assumptions,the governance structure is classified into two distinct categories: formal governance dominated structure and relational governance dominated structure.After that,the feature of each type of governance structure is elaborated.Finally,according to the characteristics of governance structures,we give the choice of governance structures in different organization structures,such as project and company.This study analyzes the relationship model between governance structure,goaloriented dissimilation tendency and organizational performance in the project context.In this section,the paper constructs a theoretical model of the impact of governance structure on organizational performance with goal-oriented dissimilation tendency as the intermediary variable based on the SCP analysis framework,and empirically verifies it.The research shows that the governance structure dominated by formal governance has a significant positive impact on the project organizational performance,in which the formal governance mechanism plays a direct role in the project organizational performance,and the relational governance mechanism plays a regulatory role in the positive relationship between the formal governance mechanism and the organizational performance.The formal governance mechanism reduces the performance of the project organization by restraining the goal-oriented dissimilation tendency positively,but this inhibition will be relieved with the improvement of the relationship governance degree.Formal governance can promote the improvement of project organization performance by restraining the goal-oriented dissimilation tendency negatively,and this promotion will be strengthened with the improvement of relationship governance.This study analyzes the relationship model between governance structure,goaloriented dissimilation tendency and organizational performance in the context of a company with hierarchical structure.In this section,the paper first describes the characteristics of the enterprise organization with hierarchical structure,and then constructs a theoretical model aimed at revealing the relationship between the governance structure dominated by relational governance,goal-oriented dissimilation tendency and organizational performance,and carries out empirical verification of the theoretical model based on the questionnaire survey data.The research results show that relationship governance has a positive impact on organizational performance,in the governance structure dominated by relationship governance.Among them,formal governance plays an auxiliary role in providing institutional framework and has a positive impact on organizational performance.Meanwhile,relationship governance can stimulate the positive goal-oriented dissimilation tendency of enterprise organizations and promote the improvement of organizational performance.At the same time,relationship governance can also promote the improvement of organizational performance by restraining the negative goal-oriented dissimilation tendency of organizations.Formal governance can enhance the positive impact and weaken the negative impact by adjusting the intermediary role between relationship governance and organizational performance of the orientation goal alienation tendency.The main innovations of this research are reflected in the following three aspects:First,this study first proposed the concept of DGDT,extracted its composing dimensions,and developed its measurement scale.The dimensions and scales of DGDT lay a theoretical and tool foundation for future research of the DGDT.The concept of DGDT has the double advantage of both describing the phenomenon representation and reflecting the essence of the phenomenon.These advantages make up for the defects of vague connotation and poor inclusiveness of existing relevant concepts,by systematic reshaping and integration of existing similar concepts.The refined dimension of the concept of DGDT has realized the operability of the relevant concepts,which deepened the understanding of the connotation of the concept,and provided a theoretical basis for promoting the development of relevant research.In addition,an effective measurement scale has been developed to fill the gap in measurement tools in relevant research.It provided important tool support for promoting relevant empirical research,and help follow-up research to achieve relevance and comparability in research conclusions.Second,this study first proposed the asymmetric characteristics of the complementary relationship between formal governance and relational governance,and then classified governance structure into two distinct categories on the basis of the formal-relational govenance configuration.The classification of governance structure under the dual governance framework,deepened understanding of the relationship between formal and relational governance,expanded the research ideas related to dual governance,and provided a new direction for promoting the research on the mechanism of dual governance.Third,this study focus on the mediating role of DGDT between governance structure and organizational performance through the integration of SCP theory and governance theory,and clarifies the mechanism of governance structure on organizational performance in different situations.On the one hand,this research established a theoretical system for studying the DGDT,and provided a theoretical basis for governance practice of DGDT.On the other hand,by introducing the new variable of DGDT into the relationship between organizational governance and organizational performance,this research explored the new mechanism that organizational governance affects organizational performance,which enrich the theoretical framework of the relationship between organizational governance and organizational performance.
