| In the face of the accelerated evolution of the world economic pattern, the rapid development of digital technology, and the increasingly complex competitive environment,it is increasingly important for enterprises to acquire and absorb new knowledge and establish competitive advantage through strategic learning and strategic change in the strategic activities of identifying opportunities and seeking advantages. At the same time, strategic management theory and enterprise behavior theory believe that in the face of a complex and dynamic external environment, performance feedback can enable strategic decision-makers to find problems in the development of enterprises in a timely manner, and adjust the direction and focus of strategic change in a timely manner through problem oriented search behavior. Therefore,it is of great significance to clarify the internal logic chain of the performance gap driving enterprise strategic change,to deepen the theory of enterprise strategic management,to help enterprises cope with internal and external environmental risks, and to enhance enterprise competitiveness. However, previous research on corporate strategic change from the perspective of managers mainly focused on the impact of corporate executives’ characteristics on strategic change in different situations, ignoring the interaction between managers and how the social network structure of the top management team affects executives’ cognition, thereby affecting corporate strategic change behavior. Therefore, based on the high echelon theory, social network theory and cognitive behavior theory, this paper studies how the structure of the senior management team affects the interpretation and processing of information in the enterprise decision-making process by influencing the enterprise’s cognition when facing the performance gap,and ultimately affects the enterprise’s strategic decision-making behavior. The specific research contents are as follows:Firstly,it establishes the theoretical framework system of enterprise performance feedback and executive internal and external relations driving strategic learning and strategic change. This paper analyzes the manifestations of enterprise performance gap,the main reasons and characteristics of the formation of performance gap, discusses the main driving factors and manifestations of enterprise strategic change, and further analyzes the driving effect of internal and external relations of enterprise senior management team on strategic change based on enterprise behavior theory,And explore the impact mechanism of enterprise performance gap on strategic learning and strategic change from the perspective of internal and external relations of senior management team, and finally form the theoretical framework of enterprise performance feedback and internal and external relations of senior management driving enterprise strategic learning and strategic change.Secondly, through empirical test, this paper discusses the impact of enterprise performance gap on strategic learning from the perspective of internal and external relations, and expands the contingency effect of internal and external relations between enterprise "performance feedback and learning behavior".The research results confirm that the external relationship network of the enterprise provides information and resource support for the enterprise and reduces the risk of enterprise strategic decision-making.The closer the connection between the enterprise and the external relationship, the more it can support the enterprise to carry out strategic learning to solve the problem of performance gap;The disharmony of internal relations significantly inhibits the strategic learning behavior of enterprises, but the internal differences also contribute to the exertion of team creativity to a certain extent; At the same time,it proves that the strategic learning behavior of enterprises with poor performance is an important path mechanism of enterprise strategic change.Thirdly,on the basis of the above theoretical mechanism analysis and the impact of the internal and external relationship of the enterprise senior management team on the strategic learning behavior in Chapter IV,this paper confirms the importance of the internal and external relationship of the senior management team on the enterprise strategic adjustment from the perspective of management cognition, and explores the impact of the enterprise performance gap on the enterprise strategic change. The results show that when enterprises are facing business difficulties, the management of enterprises often redeploy the operation and management of enterprises through strategic adjustment in order to seek the improvement of business performance; When the "team conflict" among enterprise executives will reduce the efficiency of enterprise management in strategic decision-making;In addition to the isomorphic pressure of the industry, other dimensions of executives’ external connection will promote the strategic change of enterprises with poor performance; The "team conflict" within executives leads to that enterprises tend to carry out strategic change only when there is strong external connection and isomorphic pressure in the same region; When an enterprise is facing business difficulties, the confidence and effort of the senior management team will promote the strategic adjustment of the enterprise, and the internal and external relations of the enterprise in different dimensions will have different effects on the two dimensions. Finally,on the basis of the above empirical research, using the standardized multi case research method, this paper analyzes how the four case enterprises carry out strategic learning and strategic change to improve the follow-up performance when there is a performance gap,and how the dynamic changes of internal and external relations of senior executives play a role in this process. The results show that strategic learning is the basis for enterprises to integrate internal and external knowledge, which can effectively improve the quality of enterprise decision-making and make up for the performance gap.In the process of strategic change, with the multiple setting of management cognition, the collaborative evolution process of case enterprise performance gap, internal and external relations of executives, strategic learning and strategic change essentially follows the development logic of "structure cognition behavior".This not only verifies the above theoretical research framework, but also deepens the understanding of the dynamic evolution relationship of the above four key variables. The significance of this study is mainly reflected in:(1)this study broadens the theoretical perspective of the relationship between enterprise performance feedback and enterprise strategic change, which makes up for the gap of the traditional theoretical model of performance gap, enriches the process mechanism between enterprise performance gap and strategic change, and makes its logical chain more systematic and reasonable.(2)This study constructs a theoretical framework of "structure cognition behavior",which is conducive to the construction of an efficient senior management team,so as to adjust the enterprise strategy in time under a high degree of environmental uncertainty;(3)This study uses social network theory and strategic management theory to explore the mechanism of strategic learning based on external relations, and expands the antecedents of strategic learning. |
