Abstract/Summary:
The sawfly fauna of Mt. Dabie, Anhui Province, China were analyzed by 8 investigations which were performed from April 2006 to July 2007 by the author.185 sawfly species were collected there belonging to 6 families and 71 genera. Among them,30 species are new to science,1 species is recorded from China for the first time,97 species new to Anhui,6 species new to Henan. Following 6 new species and 1 new subspecies are described and illustrated in detail:Macrophya Dabieshanica Wei et Xu, sp. nov., Asiemphytus nigritarsis Wei et Xu, sp. nov., Tenthredo trixanthomacula Wei et Xu, sp. nov., Tenthredo rubitarsalita Wei et Xu, sp. nov., Arge semicincula Wei, sp. nov., Tenthredopsis insularis oligomacula Wei et Xu, ssp. nov., Emphytopsis quadratus Wei et Xu, sp. nov.Among the genera recorded in Mt. Dabie,59 are of East Asia-type,7 of Oriental-East Asia type and 5 of Oriental-Palaeartic, accounted for 83.10%,9.86%,7.04% separately. The result shows that in Mt. Dabie the East Asia type are relatively predominant. Among the genera of East Asia-type,27 genera are endemic to China which accounts for 45.76%,15 genera are distributed in southern part of China which accounts for 25.42%,11 species are widely distributed in East-Asia which accounts for 18.64% and 6 species are endemic to Mt. Dabie at present which accounts for 10.17% in all. The results also show that the type of endemic to China is relatively predominant in the Mt. Dabie.Among the species recorded in Mt. Dabie,168 species are of East Asia-type,10 of Oriental-East Asia type,7 of Oriental-Palaeartic type, which account for 90.81%, 5.41%,3.78% separately. The results show that in Mt. Dabie the East Asia type is relatively predominant. Among the species of East Asia type,84 species are endemic to China which accounts for 50%,34 species are distributed in southern part of China which accounts for 20.24%,18 species in Mt. Dabie which accounts for 10.71%,17 species are widely distributed in East-Asia which accounts for 10.12%,15 species are endemic to Henan which accounts for 8.93%. The results also show that the species of East Asia-type is relatively predominant in the recorded species in Mt. Dabie. The Jaccard's dual similarity indices between sawfly faunas of Mt. Dabie, Mt. Mang and Mt. Funiu are calculated. The order of similarity indices of sawfly faunas in Mt. Dabie, Mt. Mang and Mt. Funiu from high to low are Mt. Dabie and Mt. Mang, Mt. Funiu and Mt. Dabie, Mt. Mang and Mt. Funiu. In terms of the fauna of sawfly in Mt. Dabie and Mt. Funiu, the proportion of genera and species of Oriental, Oriental-East Asian, East Asian types are quite similar to each other, but for the East Asian and South China types, Mt. Dabie has more than that Mt. Funiu has.In Mt. Dabie and Mt. Mang, the Oriental-palaeartic, East Asian types are similar to each other. The type of Orintal-East Asian in Mt. Dabie is clearly higher than that in Mt. Mang. The type of Oriental in Mt. Mang is distinctly higher than that in Mt. Funiu, but the type of East-Asian is fewer than that in Mt. Funiu.
