The thesis aims lightning warning. To build the warning criteria, three sources of data are used, the S-band Doppler weather radar data, the lightning location system data and radiosonde data starting from June 2009 to August 2009 in Nanjing. Through comprehensive processing and analysis, the thesis concludes as follows:(1) The performances on Vertical Wind Profile (VWP) are about half an hour before the lightning, the original single or double non-data region becomes smaller until it disappeared quickly; on the image in the radial velocity as follows:mature thunderstorm stage, the performance of low-level wind convergence increases as the "S" type of warm advection.(2) Echo tops, vertically integrated liquid water content (VIL) were associated with the distribution of lightning frequency are well correlated. Statistical analysis:first flash occurs, the echo top height of 9Km above, VIL to 25kg/m2or more.(3) 40 dBz the development of a high intensity of the echo is 7Km determine whether the indicator of whether the lightning:in the 7 Km high CAPPI image, echo intensity greater than or equal 40 dBZ area of regional and lightning have a good correspondence.(4) Logistic regression model using the radar echo parameters (max intensity,echo top height, VIL,7Km high echo intensity) and the relationship between the probability of lightning; threshold based on the probability of lightning and short-term early warning area forecasts.
