The landslides, mudslides and other geological disasters are numerous in China, most of them are seriously damageted to personal property and safety. Therefore, the ways that how to correctly evaluate the slope stability,how to accurately predict the trend of deformation, and how to take reasonable measures to reduce the disasters and economic losses are very important.Firstly, safety evaluation of the slope is to accurately carry out nalysis of slope stability. Analysis of slope stability is always of great concern to the engineering andacademic research,which involves water conservancy and hydropower projects, roads projects and many other projects fields, whether the proper analysis and evaluation of its stability is often the key to the success of such projects, but also to ensure that Engineering safety and reduce costs the important part.Firstly, this paper briefly intreduces some basic knowledge of landslide, it summarizes a variety of commonly used methods of stability analysis of the basic principles, characteristics, advantages and disadvantages and the scope of application. Secondly, according to Panan research data, elaborates the factors affectting the stability of landslide disaster from the lithology, geological structure, hydrological conditions, construction activities, and other; describes the causes of geological disasters in Panan from topography, lithology, geological structure, natural factors, human factors and the other. Finally, selectting several typical landslides in Pan to comprehensive analysis and study the landslide stability and the landslide deformation mechanism from geological conditions, the external environment, deformation and failure characteristics, stability calculation, simulation analysis, soughtting to draw a more objective, reliable, reasonable, economic evaluation results, which provides a scientific basis of the construction and disaster prevention, and which play an important role on the slope reinforcement and forecast, facilitatting the relevant departments to study and formulate the disaster mitigation measures, and to specifically propose appropriate control measures and recommendations.
