Water is the foundation of human survival and our water pollution situation is serious. To facilitatly research reasonable water pollution prevention means, how to efficiently, high-precision and sharing the water pollution data should be resolved.With the development of the global positioning system, wireless communication technology and embedded software and hardware technology, mobile GIS became one of the representative direction in the new generation of geographic information technology, it have congenital advantage in navigation, outdoor Spatial data acquisition and processing, field measurement, etc. It will bring great convenience inevitably for water pollution data acquisition, especially the spatial data acquisition.But there are some limitations when the existing mobile GIS solution was applied to water pollution data acquisition.â‘ there is no specializing research in water pollution data acquisition currently, especially in spatial data acquisition research, and lack of general water pollution data model.â‘¡The existing mobile GIS solutions lack of effective support to the space coordinate system adopted in Chinese. Traditional coordinate system transformation model cannot satisfy the coordinate system transformation needs in the mobile equipment due to its complexity and computing dimension when we have the needs that convert the data in the GPS location field format to which in the space coordinate system adopted in Chinese.â‘¢They are not treated differently between the basemap data and the business map data in the existing mobile GIS data solution. The problems mentioned above must be solved effectively when we want to collect water pollution data exactly and efficiently, and promote mobile GIS in domestic popularity.This paper does the following works mainly according to the limitations appeared when the existing mobile GIS solution was applied to water pollution data acquisition.â‘ For ease of the collection, storage and management of water pollution data, we analyse and design the data, and complete the geographical database model of water pollution data.â‘¡We separate the basemap and the business map data through the way that compress the basemap data in grid format and copy it to the mobile devices directly according to the database model.â‘¢This paper proposes a method of vector data coordinate transformation based on the discussion about the data conversion problem between different coordinates system. This method can meet on a mobile device of coordinate transformation of vector data real-time.â‘£We Implements a field data acquisition plan about water pollution, including the database system, GIS server system and mobile terminal system. Complete a simple mobile terminal software using the ArcGIS Mobile SDK, realize some basic functions, such as data acquisition, data editing, data synchronization, etc.Practice shows that, in support of Web GIS, this system can not only high precision, high efficiency of the collection and storage water pollution data, and can easily share these data.
