On the basis of Geographic Information System, the data files of foreshore terrain in Shanghai about twenty years are exported with the support of digital elevation model. Basing on these files, the Foreshore Digital Terrain Model is established. Contraposing the requirements for special analysis, after researching the storage, division and organization of data, the method of data management in a terrain analysis system reiving on cloud data is put forward. According to the structure of the model, this text deeply researches the topologic analysis arithmetic so that the model can be applied in the domain of terrain analysis.According to the requirement of sea wall and forshore management, a sea wall and foreshore information management system is developed in the stand-alone environment. Basing on the foreshore digital terrain model and with the help of GIS platform, the function of spatial information management and foreshore terrain analysis is integrated in the system, and coupling query and SQL query are realized in it ,too. The system has been used for several layout projects, and the effect has benn proved good. For the issuance of data, using the technology of web service, this text put forward the method and detail of foreshore terrain analysis system architecture in the network environment on the platform of Microsoft .Net in order that the system can supply the service through the network. At the same time, the network map service on the GIS platform and some functions about electronic government affair is researched and integrated into the system, which fulfil the demand of foreshore management work. The utility of foreshore digital terrain model is proved by the running of the system too.
