The basic education of our country has already entered a brand-new era of the reforming of curriculum. The implementation of new curriculum has not only brought a deep change to the whole basic education, but also influenced the system of teacher-training education strongly at the same time. Reforming traditional teaching model, blending new curriculum concept and method in subject teaching, training the new teachers who meet new curriculum teaching standards, all of these have become the urgent tasks that present teacher-training colleges are faced with.Judging by the requirement of new curriculum or the research accomplishment of pedagogy and psychology as well as the characteristic of physics, independent learning and inquiry-based learning is the inevitable option of current physical teaching reformation.Based on the theory of construction and subjective education and new curriculum concept as well, this research absorbs modern teaching theoretical research accomplishments, which include " discovery learning " , " independent learning " ," inquiry-based learning ", " cooperative learning ", " inquiry-based teaching ". It also considers schools' teaching condition, students' recognition level and the characteristic of teaching materials. On the condition of that, it conforms and summarizes two most important key concepts, that is, " independence " and " inquiry "; at the same time, it studies and builds " Independence and inquiry " teaching model in teaching physics. The basic links of this model are: 1) put forward the problem, reveal the goal and arouse learning motivation; 2) work out learning plan and guide self-study probe; 3) cooperate and exchange, inspect the outline, feedback the information and correct or mend leakage; 4) consolidate by practice and detect by feedback; 5) encourage probe and improve ability; 6) introspect theappraisal and promote study.The aim of " Independence and inquiry " teaching model in normal school physics is to guide student to participate teaching process and improve the way of physics study as far as possible. By doing these, hopefully let students grasp the basic ability and the basic knowledge of material science, experience science process and get some idea and training by cultivating their scientific attitude, scientific method as well as new curriculum concept, increase the ability of their independent learning and the adaptability of new curriculum, build their own knowledge, method and feeling system and utilize these into their future teaching work.The enforcement of " Independence and inquiry " teaching model in normal school physics have obtained the aims of expectations. It raises the motivation and the interest of students in learning physics, strengthens students consciousness of independent learning and inquiry-based learning, improves students learning method and the habit, increase students self-study ability and the ability to probe the science and influence their future teaching concept and method. This teaching model must become the major tendency of science reformation in the future in teacher-training colleges.There are still many problems and contradiction in the implementing of this teaching model that must study further.
