Because of influences of natural and artificial destroy during the past time, the surveying mark of geodetic control points were destroyed seriously. The development of engineering is influenced by lost of control points. Moreover, in practical management of geodetic result, the mean is out of date and efficiency is low. How to protect the control points and manage geodetic result effectively is an important task for us.With practical experience of the author and the actuality of management about geodetic result in Hebei province at the present time, based on the character of geodetic result and the investigation and analysis of the customer demand, the design of GIS system about the geodetic result is researched carefully. And the key technology in the implement of the system is also studied and investigated in detail.The management GIS system about geodetic result makes up of surveying mark management system and geodetic result. Surveying mark management system is established utilizing Visual FoxPro database management. The functions of data input, edit, maintenance, multi condition query, statistics, user management and output are all archived. The mode of development adopts VB and MapInfo. The paper emphasizes the spatial data structure of Oracle Spatial. The design of spatial geodetic result database is proposed, which store, manage, inquire and analysis spatial data and attribute uniformly.
