The essay studies the interoperability of spatial data between the clients of Map and MapInfo in Oracle Spatial. Based on the study of the saving process of spatial data and the saving structure of Map and MapInfo's data in database, the author introduces a method to solve the interoperability between the clients of Map and MapInfo in Oracle Spatial by modifying the metadata table of Map and MapInfo clients in the database.At the end of the paper, the author sums up the existing problems and limitations of this method used when modifying the metadata to realize the interoperability between Map and MapInfo, and further puts forward a new idea to solve the interoperability by middleware.
