With the great development and wide application of spatial informational technologies,mineral resources assessment and metallogenic prediction,an important branch of geosciences,is striding forward in the informational direction.Supported by the GIS technology,the research field of the mineral resources assessment and metallogenic prediction is tending to develop Expert Systems of mineral deposit model by dealing with the temporal and spatial distribution of mineral resources and building quantitative models of multiple metallogenic information.The theory and method of metallogenic prediction of synthetic information,which carry out quantitative and location prediction based on modern computer technology—GIS by processing data including geology, geophysics, geochemistry and remote sensing(RS) and utilizing GIS spatial analysis founction,is the main approach of mineral resources prediction in future.The method of mineral resources prediction based on synthetic information employs the data which reflect the rules of formation and distribution of mine and metallogenic factors including geology,geophysics,geochemistry and RS ect in order to predict mineral resources.Its guiding principles are ore-forming theory and mathematical geology. It starts with the geological background and known deposits,and then analyzes metallogenic rules and factors .On such basis,it interpret synthetically the information including geology, geophysics,geochemistry, and remote sensing from the evolution of the geology and puts all the information into one entire system of synthetic information interpretation. On such basis, different grades and types of mineral resource prospecting models and predictive models of synthetic information can be established. Hence, a new integrated prediction system will be formed of metallogenic qualitative prediction, mineral resources statistic prediction and mineral resources amount prediction.Based on computer technology, the system is developed to carry out quantitative prediction of synthetic information.Mineral resources prediction system of synthetic information is a application system of GIS.It is a further application of the theory and method system of mineral resources prediction based on synthetic information that Wang shicheng advocates,a professor from JiLin University.It uses MAPGIS made in China as a platform and integrates Expert System and GIS into a whole system.It consists of five interpretation subsystem including geology interpretation,geophysics interpretation,geochemistry interpretation,information integration and map base management.It can automatically establish bases of spatial information and maps by processing and interpreting data intellectually.As a founction module and subsystem,information integration systtem extracts geological variables by analysing spatially such interpretation result in order to carry out metallogenic prediction through multianalysis.Information integration system transforms spatial information including geology,geophysics,geochemistry and RS into geological variables in order to establish variable tables that multianalysis needs.It analyses the results which mineral resources prediction system produces by processing data of multisource so that it can integrate information to establish geological variables according to metallogenic prediction and finally geological variable tables can be created.The paper will present the study of information integration in detail including geology,geophysics and RS.Metallogenic prediction uses geology as a prior premise and bases on orebed model and geologic anomaly to establish geology maps and mineral resource maps which represent all kinds of geologic body and ore body.In the paper,we establishe base of spatial geologic information and map based on analysing the principle of geology interpretation,and obtain the characteristics of geologic bodys by designing data models.Metallogenic prediction employs geophysics method to analyse burried structure and geologic environment.According to the relation between deposit distribution and burried structure and geophysics,it can predict ore-body site by utilizing information and underground situation supplied by geophysics.In the paper,we establishe base of spatial geologic information and map based on analysing the principle of geophysics interpretation,and present the results by using structure of 4 different gravity depth layers as an example.By analysing and processing RS data,we can fully know metallogenic geology background,metallogenic factors,metallogenic structure,metallogenic layer-site and wall rock alterative in order to carry out metallogenic prediction.We study RS alterative information quantitively and come up with process and method.At the same time,RS structure information also play an important role in metallogenic prediction.On such basis,we design geologic variable model to express metallogenic geology signs of RS alterative and structure.Based on theory above,the process which was expressed in a computer software project with the object-oriented programming technology and methods was analysed and concluded systematically for information integration system of mineral resources prediction based on synthetic information.We finally finish the development of information integration system under Visual C++ by utilizing MAPGIS second development tools.During the project of middle-large scale metallogenic prediction in the east of Inner Mongolia,we have achieved the satisfactory effect by employing information integration system.In the article,we discuss the process of data preparation and demonstrate the results expressed partly in the way of variable tables.
