Nowadays, the ability to solve realistic problems by computational methods becomes more and more important for science and technology graduates. To adjust to the growing importance of computing in all of science and technology, a program is discussed here which suggest that some computational methods should be taken into college physics in addition of the traditionally relationship between physics and mathematics. This program can enhance the ability to solve realistic problems by computer and will interest students to learn college physics as well. It also can make students to see physics come alive before their eyes and reveal itself at a level usually attained only in a research environment. In consequence, the program is worth being studied. There are some problems being discussed in this thesis, mainly include something as follows:1. As the problem-solving environment like MATLAB is a friendly and quick way for students to begin scientific computation, some computational methods, which are used in many fields of science and technology, are introduced to students in physics course by MATLAB.2. We generally develop the computational materials in the physics problem-solving paradigm by MATLAB, which including problem→theory→model→implementation ? assessment. It has also been shown that the use of the problem-solving paradigm deepens scientific process skills, and often leads to a research-level insight into physics.3. At present, there are many difficulties in putting the program into practice. So, how to implement it in the college physics education is also discussed here.
