The Automatic Weather Station System Based On GPRS

There are a lot of problems during the data transmission of traditional automatic weather station. For example, due to the high expense and the bother construction restricted by condition, it is too difficult to establish station which transmits data using wires. Similarly, when the wireless network is applied, the short message with GSM has little capacity during transmission, and the expense is too high. General use can not afford to hire a planet. The appearance of GPRS can solve the entire problem probably.This paper emphasizes on the research of the automatic weather station system based on GPRS, consisting of the theory and practice. At the same time, the system based on GPRS is designed. The controller in the system adopts the microcontroller, and the weather data is transmitted via wireless network which connected to the Internet. Then the system is used in practice. The concrete researches are as following:It analyzes the result of applying GPRS to transmit data according to the characteristic of GPRS, then four ways of organizing network are put forward. The method of netting is made sure when the experiment condition and application of the output are considered.Protocols that used during the course of transmitting weather data in the design are introduced. With a view to the microcontroller, the protocols are optimized. And a finest design is achieved.The software and hardware of the control system are designed. The embedded controller software based on all of work mode and the interface hardware is developed.At the end of the paper, it accomplishes the experiments with the system which can test the performance of the system during the data transmission.
