With the rapid development of economy and the rapid growth of social wealth, meteorological disasters caused by the economic and social repercussions become more and more big, the national disaster reduction mission requirements of meteorological service for most of China’s disaster weather all-weather, continue monitoring and warning; improving quality of life of the public meteorological service put forward higher and higher demands. At present, more and more cable telemetry is used in the meteorological department, but in some conditions it’s difficult, for example difficult mountainous island implementation. Along with the development of wireless technology, GPRS technology will be used in automatic meteorological station design can effectively solve this problem.Automatic weather station is specifically used for meteorological automatic data acquisition, processing, storage and transmission equipment, it can work in the field of all kinds of complex and harsh environments, and can simultaneously monitor the many meteorological factors, storing a large number of meteorological data. Automatic weather station is mainly composed of a series of meteorological sensor, collector, the main collector components. Automatic weather station is composed by two parts. The hardware system includes meteorological sensor, a main collector, collector and peripherals; embedded software includes data acquisition software and the main collector software, component collector through the CAN bus and the main collector communicates. The main collector to realize acquisition of data collection, data is transmitted to the host computer through RS485bus, and the acquisition of up to the minute data backup to the CF card in. The subject of the use of wireless communication technology in automatic meteorological station is proposed to study the scheme, design a set of wireless communication technology and automatic meteorological station data collector system. The main contents include the data acquisition module is introduced, and the principle of each sub module design, according to the requirements of various meteorological elements, temperature and humidity wind rain and other meteorological sensor module, finally through the analysis of data acquisition system transmits the acquired data to the upper computer software, data storage, analysis.
