To describe the application of intelligent measurement technology in weatherdata acquisition system. Focuses in remote, automated, accurate & reliable weatherdata acquisition, the system is composed by multi-essential sensor,, microcontrollerand wireless communication network.System hardware design based on the W77E58 microcontroller. The DAQmodule was organized by the I~2 C-bus. To emphasizes on the acquisition &transformation of digital pulse, digital code, simulated signal.System hardware design based on the time-triggered multi-task dispatcher, paymore attention on the software realization ofI~2 C-bus & data acquisition program.Remote data transmission, and wide range data acquisition network based on theCDMA 1X wireless communication network.A six essential application(including MOR, wind speed/direction, air/groundtemperature, and rainfall), the station has being widely utilized to freeway weatherobservation system in Shanghai-Nanjing Freeway. Benefits in modular structure,serial data exchange, and opened interface, the system could be expand, cut andtransplant easy for different needs. With its reliable, accurate & low cost, the designmust be a practical solution for data acquisition system.
