GIS is a technique of newly arisen spatial information that rise in recent years, and is a thing of various subjects that cross. It can efficiently manage, analyze information having spatial structure and export result. Along with continuously develop of GIS, it is already extensive application on energy and transportation, city planning, resources evaluation, land exploitation etc. and exert the great function in the national economy.This research applies GIS to geoscience's fields. By material item, this paper expatiates on integration about GIS and geological database from development and application.On the development means, we develop this system by ComGIS, which is most one of the popular development modes at present. This system is different from a traditional Database Management System in query, management and analyses essentially. The mostly contents of this paper are as follows in brief:In the first chapter, it introduces research background, research contents and its significance, and makes the essentials elucidation with main special features.In chapter 2, it puts great emphasis on analyzing differentiation and contact during spatial database and geology database, compares their outside manifestation and actual contents,discusses both it, announce to essential of geology database. Otherwise, it describes spatial database's designe of GIS.In chapter 3, describes spatial database's designe of GIS. Spatial database's planning is important for GIS. If not data, GIS will be empty. It will exert adequately some advantages if it has an efficient spatial database design plan and optimizes data, planning and management when having data. Spatial database design includes the spatial image database's design and property's database design. In a general way, property's database is frequently neglected in spatial databasea nds patialim aged atabase'sd esign isst ressede xcessively.This emphasizes demonstration but neglects practicability. In view of this research practicability, at design we emphasized that two kinds of designs go forward together.Otherwise, it describes development environment, running environment and system's function. In developing environment, we adopt a GIS plat form for ArcGIS Engine of Esri Co. It is a second-developing component on ArcObjects and ArcEngine 's function in management and analyses is not less than ArcGIS 's. In system's functiond esign, we stress query and managemen to spatial data and property data by connecting actual mater and choose a rational way. In this base, we add some functions as analysis and exporting image etc.Chapter 4, discusses analysis and application to spatial data and property data of nonmetallic deposit space database for geological factor in macro approach and micro approach. This research's data is complex and comes down to Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. We integrate some known nonmetallic space and working degree data and stratum, constitution information and analyze their controlling mineral models and reasons. Final we announce their potential rules by layer's image. Particularly, big scale spatial data that is contact with diggings is usually more available than the other form in announcing to inside rules.
