With the rapid development of modern electronic technique and aerospace industry, the 3S technology have been wide applications in geology as the representative of high technology,. the development of the 3s technology and artificial intelligent technology can greatly improve the efficiency of field data collection, and geologists' working conditions. In the paper, the 3S technology, high precision GPS system were used for fixed sophisticated positioning to the studied fracture in the actual fieldwork . Using the powerful image processing software to enhancement processing the acquired satellite image of working area .Using multi-data integration to interpreting remote sensing image , obtained the expressive characteristics of "Chaohu-Tongling" fault on remote sensing image.Based on the interpreting remote sensing image, the author also make an on-the-spot investigation on the fault, obtained the ample evidence about the existence of the fracture. It is suggested that the fracture is not only exist, showing the distributing direction is south - north and experienced many evolutionary stages .Based on the large quantity of facts and indoor data handling which offered above, this paper used R2V software for detailed vectorization to the study area, used VB software for integrating scattered data. Based on the GIS Platform , a spatial database and an attribute database of the fault characteristics in the study area were setup. This database provides reference value for the fracture study on the study area and resource sharing.
